hit by tornado - destruction
United States

It was very sad for the family who lost 4 wonderful people after tornado hit their place last May 10. It was the mother, the daughter, the husband of the daughter and their 13 yr ols son!We attended the funeral yesterday and at the same time, were able to witnessed the destruction caused by the said tornado. A lot of people were homeless now and some lost their loved ones.We saw many volunteers who clean up the area and at the same time cooking for those families.I know there are several people around the world who experience the same thing and for me still possible for us to reach out our help, We will continue to pray for them to give them more strength to move on!

Thoughts and prayers are with you all at this tragic time and especially for your husband to have lost so many of his family. Nature can be fierce as we have all seen by recent events. I have posted also on other discussion without pic but the destruction is awful I agree. Prayers also to the people that have been affected by this and now have to rebuild their homes. Ellie :D

Just curious where you live? Im in Southern Missouri and have also went through the same thing. I am so sorry that your family is suffering from these things. They are hard. We lost a family member a few years ago when it destroyed another town close by. This time a few more, a few in the hospital and so many friends and family without homes. Me and my family actually got extremely lucky we were on our to way to watch some monster trucks but decided to turn around...bad decision it hit town as soon as we got back. Luckily my sister in law lived near by and we were able to get in her basement. But we seen it. Again, I am extremely sorry that your family is having to go through it.

They live in the Seneca Missouri and 3 of them were in the car on their way to attend the wedding and one was left in their house! We live far from them, 4 hours from Seneca!

I'm so sorry to read this! there have been so many tornadoes recently I can't keep them all straight. Which one was this, I mean where did this poor family live? I know I heard of various tragedies on the news so chances are I heard of this one. I'll certainly have their loved ones in my prayers. I wish I could be there to help out those who need it but there are different drives and fund-raisers going on in my local area for the different disasters around the country and the rest of the world. Bless you and your husband and HUGS to you all. Annie

That is so sad. You really don't expect to actually know someone who was affected by these sort of things. Yet, when a tornado hit Jerral Texas (not the big one in May, but one years before) I knew someone who had to take time off to help her husband's family clean up from it.

I am really sorry to hear that. I can feel the pain. As you know, my country is suffering a serious earthquake disaster and I also learn many sad facts about it. So I know the tornado really had a serious bad effect in your country. I don't know what to say. The life must go on and we shall give them much more care and support. I love China

My deepest sympathy to your family! I have seen the devastation on television. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of damage a tornado can do....the forces of mother nature taking back what she thinks is her...Once again..you truly all have my deepest sympathy!

Hi checapricorn! How are you doing now? I am so sorry to hear about what happened to your husband's relatives. It must be hard for your husband to go through this and it's nice that you are there for him. I hope the government will be able to do something about all the people who lost their properties. God bless you and your family.

tornado really made big damage in the past, that last tornado that hit the country made a lot of wreck homes and killed a lot of people, it is very sad to hear or see the news, our country is not really affected by tornado but the storm also did alot of damage to the crop, houses, buildings and lives of the people. some part of the philippines are also suffering from great loss. please extend my condolences to your husband and to everyone who suffered losses from these calamities.
