I have 2 grandnephews. They are twins and are going 3 years old. I love them very much and I would borrow them every now and then to go shopping, church, swimming and even jogging. Thy sleep in our house every other day and they love my company as well. They are really a big bundle of joy, so cute and happy little fellow that make mine and my husband's life even happier. We have only one son who is already grown up and is also very fond of the twins. the problem now is that the mother who is a single parent have decided to migrate to Canada and would of course bring the twins with her being her sons. This saddens me a lot, as if I would be losing my own sons. I love them very much and I would be missing them terribly. I want to convince the mother to just leave the kids to me, but I don't know and I'm afraid she would ever agree. Do you thinks it's right for me to ask her mother, or I am being unreasonable because the children has to be with their real mother? But really, I do love them very much. Please give advice.

I know how you feel. I have four grandkis....but only one that lives close and she spends alot of time with me. When she leaves I am incredibally lonely....the house is so quiet but I would never think for one moment that she should stay here...her place is with her parents. She doesn't like to go either....Sunday when daddy picked her up she ran upstairs and hid....but she needs to be with her parents.

Thank you for sharing, at least I know that my feelings are but natural. I just can't really bear the thought that I can't be with them anymore!
