Do you like dachshunds?

we (family) have a 5 months and a half old mini dachshund, Dwight. Before I didn't like dachshunds because I prefer Golden Retrievers and for their short legs and long body but everything changed after Dwight arrived into our life. He is the only one that waits for me to wake up and climbs to my bed then afterwards, gets one pair of my slippers and we play chase the dachshund.

like them but would not want them as a pet....not so ferocious...!!!

I have two mini dachshunds, Monica and Little Bit. I was given them in January and I can't imagine not having them. It's a very sad story of how I ended up with them, as before I was given the pair I had a Rottweiller and a Basset/Rottweiller mix. I ended up being forced to have the Rottweiller put to sleep and soon found that the Basset couldn't be without the companionship so I had to find him another home. Little Bit is a riot! For some reason he likes to pull the fur out of the cats! He can really get going and will have big chunks of cat hair hanging from his lips. When you call him on it he stops, looks at you wide eyed as if to say "I ain't doing nothing!". He was energetically pulling fur out of one of my Siamese cats and he got a little too energetic, he ended up nipping the cat on the end of his tail which resulted in a upset kitty who swung around and smacked Little Bit on the top of the head. He wasn't hurt, just surprised yet he still loves to pull hair out of the cats!
