Answers to questions

I have noticed that two of the most regular questions asked by new members at myLot are variations on 'Can I make money on the internet?' and 'What is the meaning of life?'. I just wonder what people expect when they ask questions like these. Do they really think someone is going to be able to reveal in a few simple sentences a magic way to make money. Can anyone really be expected to explain the meaning of life in a few words? If you have to ask how to make money on the internet you should say something about yourself, your personal skills, your level of experience in using the computer, and how much time you can spend on the internet. As for the meaning of life... that is surely an unanswerable question. Do you ever write responses to this type of question?

I have asked the first question here... though not in the same way.. but in a different kind. I don't expect people here to reveal the entire procedures involved in the process of making money online. My notion of asking is that.. when people come out with responses they would certainly name some programs from which they would be earning.. So it gives me a chance of getting know about the programs..to be frank with you.. i have learnt a lot after joining mylot .. not only about the money making concepts but on other aspects too.. Once if we come across the names of programs we can make a further research on it.. otherwise we have to start from the scratch.. As regards the second question.. i have not answered or have asked here.. because.. life unfolds with different dimensions to different persons.. It can't be the same yard stick for measuring every one's performance.. Take care friend.

You are wise to do your own research and don't just take the word of someone else that a program will make you money. I also have learned much about making money on the internet from discussions at myLot.

Well coming the frequency of those questions, there's only one logical explanation. Money is what makes most people happy, and almost all of the people in the world want to lead a happy life, by first understanding the meaning of life. Money is the driving factor for doing many things in a society. It makes people lose their minds and do illogical things sometimes, and they get depressed. Then they try to understand life and try to live the way it should be lived. Too late. Nobody can explain what life means, because it should be a self realization and people should understand their own goals for themselves. But Alas, many try to find a reason for their life, in other's lives. Coming to answering such discussion, yes I respond to add a bit to the discussion or may be confusion depending on the person who reads it... bourne

Good response. I wonder how many are satisfied with the responses they get or, as you say, if it leaves them even more confused!

I think I have answered questions on how to earn money online. I go only answering questions like this by telling them my experience in earning online (a venture which I have started only two months ago and mylot have been the most fruitful one). As to questions about the meaning of life, I don't think I have met questions like that. But if ever I would encounter such, I don't think I would answer it. Have a nice day!

Yes it's much better to share your experience in a response and I will do that too, if the question clearly asked for that.

Most of my answers to discussions are from experience. I think answering from experience keeps your response unique. That way, you will not be called a spammer or someone who just copies responses.

i never think that i can make money on the internet! and never think i can get money from mylot, i log in it just for communication, and hope make friend by this way! i graduated from school only one year, when i set foot on the complicated society, i suffered many bad experience, these made me depressed and helpless... so i can understand why people ask some questions like: what is the meaning of life? we all know life is a gift that from heaven.. everyone act different parts...so we can't answer the question exactly, but we can say our true feeling, what you really think..

Hi ceganer. I'm pleased you have joined myLot to communicate and make friends. It is a very good site to do that. I can take part in a discussion which asks how I feel about life, when the question is not just asking for a meaning. I do join in those discussions which ask for personal experience and feelings about life. I hope you will enjoy taking part in many discussions at myLot.

I don't ask the question like "What is the meaning of life", because I'm sure no one can answer such kind of questions and different people will have different answers which is likely to lead to an arguement like "Yes" or 'No' thing. I don't like these kind of questions. But I did ask a question like "Can I make money on the internet?" My original question is "How long can my money reach the minimum payout?" There are some reasons for this question. The first reason is this is my first time to try to earn money online. I have to make sure that whether I can get the money or not. Another reason is that I read some messages in one of the discussions here in which the posters say they had this kind of experience that they got nothing after a lot of hard work and effort and time because of the closure of some websites.

I think your question was a good one because you wanted to know about earning at myLot. I am always happy to help new members understand how and why they will make money here. But some people ask questions which are too general to have a true answer. You also say you have read responses in other discussions about making money, which shows you have good sense. Many of the people who ask a simple question could have found the answer by reading s few discussions on the topic, or if they had searched the discussions before they started, they would see that the same question has been asked and answered many times before.

I have been here for about a week. And I have read some of the discussions. Actually there are many meaningless questions and answers. I only participate in those I'm interested in or those I think I should say something. And I find you are a very generous person. What you are talking about is always the point. I am very happy to have known you here. And can you do me a favor? Can you introduce me more people like you in mylot? I am sure you have met a lot of those people. Talking with them will be very helpful and interesting. Thank you in advance.

Well, I don't because I can't. I still am on the search of the best money making site on the internet, so answering this question is out of my bounds. For the meaning of life, there's no definite answer and it's an abstract question. So, I wouldn't reply to these discussions.

I hope you will find some good money making sites. I think everyone can find one which work best for them, but it may not be the best site for other people.

No, I never answer these types of questions. Only because they are too vague. Sometimes I'm not sure whether or not the person posting such a discussion really wants a reply or is just out of new ideas and has just posted the first thing that comes to mind. However, I often start my own discussions with theories on how to make money on the Internet. I did that yesterday. I started a post on how crafters and artists could get started making money by selling their products on Etsy and other art based websites like Cafe Press and Piki Art. I like Zazzle, too. But, those websites specialize in helping people that want to use an actual talent or skill like crafts and art. They are not get rich quick schemes. They depend on the talents of the individual. As for the meaning of life, that is such a personal subject that only the individual can decide. Some people find their life's calling or meaning through their religion and God. Other's find purpose helping the poor and sick and less advantaged. Some take comfort in a job. While others find purpose by having families and children. You will find the answer to your own happiness in your own heart. That is what I believe. Be well. Thank you for posting such an insightful discussion.

I agree that such vague questions don't inspire responses and that life's purpose is individual to each of us. I think anyone who has started discussions with that type of question will only experience disappointment at the lack of answers and will hopefully learn how to start a better quality discussion.

No, I don't answer those kinds of questions. I don't answer the ones about how to make money online, or if you really can make money online because, I don't make money online, other than here. And, I am not here to make money. It is a perk but, I didn't come here for that reason as I never even knew that you could make money online until I came to this site and signed up to chat with other people and saw the next day that I had made .01 cent. I still haven't even set up a paypal account, nor have I set up my payout amount, although that time is nearing. So, I don't really even have an answer for them because that is not why I am here and I am not anywhere else but here. As for the meaning of life...I have no answer for that and I don't even want to try to pretend like I might have a potential reason for life. I guess that if a person were to ask such a question as how to make money online, they should give some info about themselves as far as how long they have each day to be online, etc...But, these kinds of questions tend to come from people who literally pose a one sentence discussion question but, never respond because they are merely here to make money...not divulge anything about themselves. As far as myLot goes, they are the bane of our communities existence because they don't care about us, only about what we can do for them. $$$$$

I think you are quite right about people who post one sentence discussions and their motive for doing it. They are not interested in reading responses, so usually I will not bother to respond to their discussions.

It depends what mood I'm in as to whether or not I reply. I generally try and reply with something but it also depends how long I have been sitting at the computer and whether my brain is actually functioning! I like to read some of the replies because they have given me some good hints (making money ones that is!) and it is fun to read what other people think of life and it's meaning.. far too complicated for me to even contemplating answering this one today! Thanks for sharing this with us, I too have noticed a prelification of these subject matters!
25 May 08
I know what you mean about being in the mood to reply. I do sometimes try to offer useful suggestions but other times I am not in the mood to bother. The first type of discussion usually gets responses referring to a link on their profile, which is fair enough, the second type of discussion usually ends up with no responses.

I'm pretty selective on what I respond to. I ignore stupid questions as well as those about things I have no knowledge. Apparently, I know a lot of things about cats; I answer most of those questions.
22 May 08
I think it is good to be selective and we all have knowledge about something we can respond to. Knowing about cats will mean you are never going to be short of discussions to respond to. Thank you for not ignoring my question!

Hmm let them ask fren why not?they are new so they ask very common qs .they will learn after spending some time here.may i know ur first discussion title?
24 May 08
There is no reason why people should not ask those questions when they first join. I am sure most people do quickly learn that a good discussion needs to start with more than a brief question.

I do answer these questions in a best manner that I can. Perhaps they just wanted the gists of different opinions. It's difficult to create original questions that somebody hasn't asked yet. Cheers.

If it's a good discussion post I will respond, but often the same questions get asked without explaining why they want to know or what is their own view. Cheers and happy myLotting.
