Accidents

I have never been in an accident while I was driving but I do remember as a teenager I was with my mom and we had a wreck. I have also seen several wrecks happy. It happens really fast and it is very scary. You really need to watch the other driver because you have to drive defensely. My son is 17 and he has had his license for about a year and a half. He is a very safe driver. He goes the speed limit or under, stops at all stop signs and lights, etc. It is not him I am worried about it is all the other people on the road. Just be careful and pay attention.

It's normal to be conerned about having an accident so just make sure that you're always paying attention to what you're doing and what the other vehicles on the road are doing. When I was 17 I went thru a stop sign and hit another car broadside. I injured my best friend at the time when her head hit the windshield. Fortunately she only suffered cuts and had to undergo some skin treatments. The reason I went thru that stop sign was because we were talking and I took my eyes off the road for a second. When I looked back I thought I was one block back from where I was and there was not stop sign there. So, always keep your attention on your driving, don't speed and watch out for the other guy.

I remember the first car accident I was in. I was a new driver, been driving on my own for almost a month. I was driving my new 2003 red Toyota Matrix, and I was on my way to work. I just got married the day before, and I was in a very good mood. I was following a van, not very closely, but all of a sudden he moved out of the way, only to show a guy pushing some sort of trailer on the road. It was too late. I ended up ramming my car on his trailer, and my whole front bumper was totally dented. I was shaken badly, happy that nobody was injured, but felt totally foolish. I have to call hubby, who has to come and rescue me, drive the damaged car to work, and has to give it upmy for two weeks for repair. Yes, accidents can happen. Just be careful, though. Do not let it stop you from driving.
