We just got back from our boys first camping trip. They loved it, the oldest went swimming with his dogs, the baby tried walking but fell on his head and tried to eat everything. We were in a Timber West site; it was so quiet and beautiful and there were not that many people. We slept in the trucks and every morning we got up to the sound or the lake that was just 10 feet from our tailgates. It was so much fun, the kids loved it and we are considering renting a lot at that site for the summer. Check out the picture of the sunset on the lake and the other pictures in my photo album.

That is really cool. I've never gone camping although I wish I would. I used to volunteer in a park and the people there set up a camping trip for all the students volunteer. My mother wouldn't let me go because she was scared something might happen to me. So I didn't get to go but I do want to go to a camping trip and see what it's like to live outdoors.

Camping is an awesome experience for children and adults too. I live in northern, Ontario, Canada and we have what is known as Crown Land. You can camp there for absolutely nothing. It has none of the niceties you find in a camp ground but it is great. When my children were young we would leave for camp the day after school got out and we didn't come back until the day before school went back in. They learned a lot in during those times and it definitely brought us closer together. Now my children are grown but they now take their own children camping. They're teaching them to respect nature in it's truest form. It's one of the things that I'm proud of passing on to my children. Let's just hope that these camping areas remain just as they are, wild and beautiful.

I love camping, we haven't done it in years but we are finally back in my home town and I am loving taking my kids to all the places I used to go. The cool thing about where we go is they keep it open all year and almost all the site have a private beach. My oldest and the dogs got up and walked like 15 set and where in the water all day.

The place we went to is owned by forestries so it will always be wild and they have a full time caregiver that keeps it clean and protected from vandals. there is nothing there for amenities it's just you a hand full of others the lake and nature.

That sounds so wonderful sweety and it is so good that you can give this type of experience to your boys! Quite idyllic really! I am going to have a look at your photos in a minute and I am sure they will be fantastic and I will be really quite envious! xxx
