I am losing weight and don't know why

I am feeling fine and I still eat, however, over the past three or four months I have lost at least 30 pounds. Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful because I need to lose the weight. My husband says he thinks it is because we aren't eating out as much and that I'm cooking healthier. That could be the case. I'm also drinking lots more water and sugar free kool-aid because I am a diabetic. Just thought I would throw this out and see if anyone has any other ideas of what could be causing this. Thanks and have a great day!!

It could very well be your change of diet. But I reccommend that you check it out with your doctor, just to be safe.

It sounds like the changes you have made to your diet have caused the weight loss. But if you aren't sure, I would have it checked out. Just cooking healthier and drinking more water would knock some weight off. My sister once lost a lot of weight. She could eat anything and she wouldn't gain weight. Turned out she had a B-12 deficiency. She got that taken care of (shot once a month), and the weight came back. She hated that part of it. But her symptoms besides weight loss was an upset stomach.

Thanks for the advice hon, I've never had my B-12 checked that I know of. I am due for a checkup at my doctor's but I just hate to go to the doctor for any reason. He will probably fuss at me when I do go because I don't come in as often as I should. He has been after me to lose weight, though, so he should be happy, I just know that my sugar still runs high and he will be concerned about that. Take care hon!!

Wow. that is great in alot of ways. I sure wish that I could lose some weight but the pounds just stay there or I pack more on no matter what I do. I need to drink alot more water though. sometimes I do feed my nerves but I am very active every day. I work seven days per week also but I always have access to food here at home while working. I really don't think you are a diabetic. I think it is because you are eating much healthier. I wish I could afford to do that also but healthy food is outragious.

Hi There! I appreciate your response. I am a diabetic, though, and my sugar stays out of control most of the time. That is why I don't like to go to the doctor becauase I know he will get on to me for it. He has been after me to lose weight, though, so when I do go I hope he will be happy about that. Take care and have a terrific day!!
