Does anyone have a proven method for remembering birthdays, etc?

Does anyone use a specific method to help them remember and track birthdays, anniversaries, etc.? I have tried using my calendar on which I write all of our activities, but they seem to get "lost" in the midst of everything else. I'd love to hear about your method of keeping these days "in front of you" and being able to send cards, etc., before the date flies by. Thank you!

I have an excellent method. My Mum has a year planner which all the family birthdays and special occassions are written on. Every time a birthday comes up she writes a card and signs my name on it. The scary thing about this method is that I'm a grown adult with kids of my own

LOL, that is too cute! Thanks! It sure is nice of your Mum to take care of you, even if you are grown. (Smile, wink)

I try and remember to write them in my diary, and on a calander chances are I will look at one of them sometime close to the birthday. I can easily remember very close family birthday its just friends etc i tend to forget, or anniversarys always forget those!

You must have a great memory! I have three families' worth of birthdays, etc. to remember, plus friends, so I am not so good at it. I was reunited with my birth family about four years ago and aside from my sister and my mom, I can't remember the rest! (There's a LOT). Thank you for your idea! :)
