When my son was about 15mo. old (13 now) he couldn't say mama so he called me mon. One day i came home from work (12hr.shifts) i had not had a day off in almost 3 weeks, i was tired felt bad exhausted and had a headache! I sat down on the couch and he wanted me to go give him a bath, i told him that i was tired but if he would just give me a minute to rest i would. He crawled up in my lap put his pudgy little hands on my cheecks and said "your a good boy, Mon. I said (with tears in my eyes), I am? He shook his little head yes and ask, do you fell better now? and amazingly i did! Until that minute i did not relize how often i told him what a good boy he was. After that i paid better attention to what i said to both my boys. This is absolutly the best compliant i have EVER been paid and i still cherish it!

Well, I have one. Although not a compliment, I am sure you will like the story. My daughter was 3 1/2 at the time (now 13) came home from visiting her dad for the weekend. I was sitting in the floor wrapping Christmas presents and she ran up to me, wrapped her little arms around my neck and looked at me with her baby blues and said "MOMMY, I LOVE YOU ANYWAY--EVEN IF YOU ARE A !@#$%". Needless to say, when I got done with her dad, we never had that problem again:)

Awww, how sweet is that? He sounds like a precious little boy. It is true that kids learn from what their parents say and do and that just proves that he does listen to you and picks up on what you say to him. I have had several "best" compliments since I am a daughter, a wife, a mom and a grandma. Cherish every moment with that little boy of yours, he will be grown before you know it.

Oh yes, please don't tell your son that I called him a little boy, but when your children are grown like mine 13 is still a little boy.

Awww, that's so cute! I can't even decide what is the best compliment that I've ever recieved. But I know it has had to have been from my partner. She gives me a lot and I can never just choose one.

My husband has given me some beautiful compliments in the form of original potery, but this child was giving me the compliment that he loved to hear best "your a good boy" in all his innocence. I doubt i will ever recieve another that will surpass it.

The best compliment I have ever received comes from many different sources. It comes from those that love me. You may wonder how that can be a compliment? It can be because to me it says that I am worth loving.

He was only about 15mos. old so he was sweet and innocent. I look at the tall ,lanky 13yr. old and can hardly believe it's my chubby little boy!

Me and my family sat down at a family restraunt and as we ate enjoying each others company, not making much noise which is weird for my family because I have 2 over hyper kids one 3 another 9 and well lets just say they aren't the most queitest and easiest kids to sit down and eat with. But they were really good. At the end of our meal we asked for the check and the waitress came by and said. "You guys have such a great family. You must be great parents for you kids to behave the way they do." when she said that I just blushed and said thank you. I had never received a complement like that before and I really enjoyed it so to celebrate I took the kids out for ice cream and a new toy.

Cj, whenmy boys were little, like you I cherished those precious moments. Now, like this past weekend my 25 year old, the one who's wife is pregnant, Said Mom have I told you how beautiful you are lately.... I eyed him with my mothers eye, and said Ben what is it you want? LMAO rotflmao he needed to borrow sugar, just as I thought it was a butter up, or rather kiss *ss :)) I laughed at him and handed him down the sugar container from the pantry.... Cherish those things now mom :)) later they mean a whole different thing.

At least he thinks your worth buttering up. He could just walk in and get it since i'm sure he knows where it is.But you are right i have noticed that there is usually an ulterior motive these days (he's 13), not always but mostly!.

Probably when Matt told me awhile back that he knew he could always depend on me, and out of anyone close to him, I was the only one that had never made him feel betrayed.
