What do you DVR?

I love my DVR. I used to miss a lot of shows because I would get a call to do something and forget to set the VCR. I'm a nascar fan and weekends can be busy so I used to miss part of the races all the time. When I got my DVR I started setting it to tape all the shows I watch every week. Now I don't miss anything and I can fast forward through commercials. If there are two programs on at that I like I can watch them both at my own convenience. I like CSI, Law and Order, NCIS, Criminal Minds and a couple of others. I am recording the French Open right now. Do you use your DVR? What do you record? DO you set your DVR to tape the show every week?

Yes, I love the DVR feature! Now I can tape something I want to see but don't necessarily want to take time when it's on to watch it. I've become rather accustomed to being able to FF through the commercials too. I tape Crossing Jordan, Matlock, M.A.S.H., and Monk, to name a few. I feel guilty sitting down in the middle of the day sometimes to watch these, so I tape them and have them for whenever I feel like relaxing at night. Since I can get through commercials quickly, I sometimes can watch two episodes in one evening. I also peruse the movie selections now and then and tape the ones I want to see.

Ooooh, I forgot crossing jordan, I love that show. I tape some movies too. I taped all the Indiana Jones movies last week on scifi for my daughter and I to watch since we saw the new movie at the drive-in last weekend.

Oh yes! Indiana Jones movies are great! My husband and I like watching those even though we've seen all of them several times already. They still keep us on the "edge of our seats" so to speak. (chuckle, chuckle)
We have truly enjoyed the National Treasure movies with Nicholas Cage lately too. Very exciting stuff! :)

I use the DVR for movies,Dr. Phil and any show I can't be there to watch in person. I taped the Sopranos on AE the most recently. What do you use your DVR for? Do you love it?

I tape the sopranos too...lol. Great show I missed out on the first time around on hbo.

I love to use my DVR. I record ongoing shows like Heroes, Saturday Night Live, Lost, and many other shows. Also, I record sporting events like my favorite team the lakers. If for what ever reason Im going to get home late, or view it a bit later.. I just set it to record before time and then, I can watch the game without commercials!
