Dog toys and being frugal.

Maybe I'm just really cheap but this is what I've been doing.
My dog currently has 12 toys. She gets 3 at a time until the toys are in need of repair. I then repair them and wash them. I give her 3 "new" toys from the bin. After the washed toys are dry the go into the bin. I cycle through the toys until they are too damaged to repair and replace them one at a time.
I hate paying lots of money for toys shes going to rip right away. I'd rather fix them a few times before spending the extra $$.
I also make her toys out of old blue jeans. They last a bit longer. OR braided Fleece for tug toys.
Does anyone else repair dog toys and reuse them for the dog...or make their own? Are there other ways to save money on pet toys?

I tie a knot in old socks that I would normally throw away. My dogs love to chase after them when I throw them and bring them back to do all over again.
I 'cycle' my dogs' toys as well. I have 2 Maltese. They have so many toys! One day I just decided to put some away. I exchange the ones they've been playing with for some in storage. They always think they're getting new toys and love them. If the ones to be replaced need repairing or cleaning, I do that, too.
You're not cheap... you're thrifty. Dogs don't really care much anyway. They mostly enjoy playing with us and whatever toy they happen to have.
