Yesterday's gospel talks about Bartemeus, the blind man wo got healed because of the strength of his faith in Jesus. He was not even touched by His hands, yet he got healed... Jesus just told him, "Bartemeus go, your faith has healed you." Many times in our lives we got into hopeless situations, sometimes we think it's the end of the world and we give up. We tend to forget something, there are lots of blessings given to us by God..potentials and capabilities--usually misused or unappreciated. Let us try to see the brighter side of things and circumstances, Bartemeus was never hopeless, how much more us when we are NOT blind.

yes, you're right. the miracle showed us how powerful the belief is. what you think, so you become. it's not jesus himself who healed bartemeus. it's his own belief. god had given us all tools we need to be a perfect creature, the human. and the main tool, the most powerful tool is our mind, our belief. it doesn't matter what we believe. if we undoubtedly believe that by touching a certain stone we will get healed, it will certainly happen. that's the secret how placebos work. jesus understand the secret, so he said, "Bartemeus go, your faith has healed you."

This story was not about physical blindness. It is showing us what our faith in God should be like. Alot of us has faith but we are weak. The bible says that if we have faith as a mustard seed then it will be enough. Having faith should be in our existence, but when problems arrives and we tried to solve them by ourselves we becomes downtrodden. It is good to have faith and exercise it. Whatever our circumstances are and we believe and have faith that Jesus Christ the Son and God the Father is there for us then everything will be alright. We should always remember that Jesus Christ is the mediator between man and God. So whatever we need we should ask in his name and it shall be done. Faith is the substances of our living.

I've always believed that blessings don't come with neon signs that say "BLESSING" so I try to always notice and appreciate what I have been blessed with. I agree with you that hope is important, especially in these uncertain times. Without it we really have nothing.
