How about just looking at the sites of the places you yearn to be. I know it's not quite the same, but it makes the brain happy. Here are 2 sites I discovered in "Womans World Magazine. This one http://www.uswebcameras.com/ lets you view from cameras from all over the US including Karoake bars . This one, lets you view from cameras all over the world http://www.earthcam.com/ Don't forget to write! So what did you think? I know its not entirely the same, but for some of us it might be as close as we get

Travelling is becoming more and more expensive these days with the gas prices rising everywhere. Airlines are also raising the fares which makes things hard for holiday makers. Driving own car is also becoming costly for the same reason. I guess I just have to watch the movies online , and enjoy homemade dinners ! Ha ha ! Have a nice time !

I loved Earthcam Dizz. I wonder if anyone has ever seen someone that they know on one of those cams. I shall have to see what I can do with the other one. Of course, if you see pics of people that you don't like the look of, that might stop you from going there. That's one of my problems with Florida. I have this image that it is full of Brits. Mostly the sort that I wouldn't want to know here. Of course that's a generalisation. But if I have to hear one more story about "Wayne being sick after eating too much: ice cream/popcorn/soda at Magic Kingdom" I shall go mad. I go away to be as far from my football shirt, shaven headed, bling attired countrymen as I can get. To see just one on a webcam would put me off for life. LOL.

We don't see much sun here, so I guess it is inevitable that we show our little white legs. I've just arranged to see someone I know on a webcam on Earthcam this afternoon (your afternoon, my late evening) I'm so excited!!

Well.. you are correct. The theme parks are full of Brits. My daughter loves it because she is fascinated by the accent. The white legs are kind of a turn off. You are too funny my friend

sometimes i like to do what I think of as a virtual vacation and go to sites about the places i want to go and i also like to go to youtube.com and find videos of them. for example you can find a lot of theme park videos from all over the world with different on ride videos and things like that. A lot of times i like to check out all of the disney parks in the world that i will never get to and things like that.

Those are nice. But what I like to do is go to the library and check out any video's about other countries. I put it on and away I go while sitting in my recliner. It is a nice way to relax. I have bookmarked the two links you have posted here.

With the price of gas, this is as close as a lot of us may get. Just weekend day trips will be out of reach quite often now. My neighbor has a bigger car and is spending $700 a month on gasoline with his commuting. He is going to trade it in, and thinks he won't get as good a trade on it now. Since when is gas more an a car payment? I bookmarked these sites. I love to look around.

Wow that site is amazing. I am waiting for it to be done for me to view something. But base on the distance, I think I still have to wait for sometime. Oh I got it. NYC seems to be not in a good weather today~~Well, though it's not the same, it's still a pleasure to view all those cities when I am at dorm.

Thanks for the links that you posted here. But I still prefer to dream in my head that one day I'll able to visit that place for vacation. That will encourage me to work hard and save money for vacations!

Hi. There is an organazation, WWOOF. U voluntier your time for (work for 4 hours per day) on a organic farm(Willing Workers on Organic Farms). All you have to pay for is the transportation. Take the train or bus. The people are always nice, they will pick you up from the nearest town. U do not pay for the room, get meals and maybe a little cash in your pocket. I was a WWOOFER in Europe. France, Holland, and Belgium. There are many , many farms in the US that use this org. All over the world... If you would like to just get away for a while, there might even be one close to you... Thanks. Hope that helps a little....
