My kids both hate to get their hair washed. They are both afraid of water on their faces and getting the to hold their heads back just does not work. I was at the store earlier and I got a few of these sun visors with a plastic coil on the back. I am going to see if they help with hair washing. I read at Amazon.com in reviews for other sun visors that it works. Have you ever used a visor on your kids in the bathtub for washing their hair? Did it help at all with hair washing trauma?

All my children are past the age where i have to wash their hair, thank God! No i never used a visior but if i had thought about it i would have tried it. The only thing that helped with my kids was giving them a dry wash cloth and letting them lay on their backs to have their hair washed. They would hold the rolled up cloth on their forehead so that no water wouldn't drip into their eyes. I generally used the kitchen sink with them laying on the counter top.

I never thought about this! I might have to get a visor and try it! My son won't lean his head back when I wash his hair either. He always wants to get out of the tub as soon as I start washing his hair, because he hates it. I would love to find something to make it easier for him.

Sounds like a great idea to me! Let me know if it works.
My daughter always holds a washcloth over her face when I wash her hair. She hates getting the water in her face too.
It seems like all kids go threw this.
Someone should invent a special hair washing visor. They would make a million.

My daughter had one. It didn't work for us.She kept taking it off and using t as a toy. After a bit, she got used to the water. Now it's pulling teeth to get her out of the tub. And she has begun washing her own hair.(With some assistance from mom of course)
