What are angels? For the sake of arguement what if they are an ancient race?

OK this is just a debate so dont get radical on me and start throwing stones. I often have to wonder after reading various passages in the bible and looking at ancient archeology of egyptian and native americans if maybe there isnt something to all of it. Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. 2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Isaiah 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. Exodus 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: Mathew 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him. So than what if they are an ancient race but instead of looking for a technological society to introduce themselves to they are actually looking for spiritually advanced individuals to contact? After all what good would it do to give advanced knowledge to a society that doesnt know how to use it? Maybe they have been watching over us, guiding and nurturing us to evolve into something more than the greedy individuals we have been or exhibited to be so far.

I feel like they are inter or other-dimensional entities.. It's true that the 'angels' are very ancient.. much more ancient than mankind. How do I know this, because, it only stands to reason.. thinking logically, if there be God/deity/higher power and first cause, it/he/she must be perfect.. also is in all likelihood Life, or the life force itself.. But you see the paradox? As soon as 'the force' creates creatures with thinking ability (which granted both man and angel is, or so they say, anyway) becomes a certain dilemma, for included with thinking ability is surely.. eventually, the ability to choose.. But, and here's the big Pandora's Box, as soon as someone chooses something other than what Perfection chooses, they become imperfect.. and imperfect is the opposite of "Life". Once ya become imperfect you can't even reverse and go back to perfection, being now, imperfect. So, what's a deity worth his salt to do? Never make rational creatures of any sort? Nope, just gotta have all rational creatures take the bound to occur journey through imperfection and falling-apart-ness, all together, at once. (I am getting to my point, slowly but surely, I really am.) - Why did God wait so long.. and only create the universe and man and woman only after the first bound-to-occur rebel thought, not only occurred but had fully ripened into sedition and outright trickery? (In Lucifer) - So all would take this unavoidable journey and lesson together. Once for all time. [Then all the universe will come to life?] - Think of God's patience! For surely he waited a very (very) long time, because when there was 'only' the father, the son and the angels (called spirit men) surely there wasn't all that much to go astray about.. likely took a while, so I figure the angels are very ancient indeed.. much more tricky too, than we give them credit for (but don't forget only 1/3 went to the darkness, and 2/3 didn't). But they have lots of things up their sleeve on this planet. Did you know Aleister Crowley and others have done rituals, etc to "open the portals that inter dimensional entities may come in"? My enthusiasm on that would depend on whether they are friend or foe..?
