Have you ever eaten Chinese takeout for breakfast?

Last week, I was cleaning out the refrigerator early morning and got really hungry. And, the only thing I had around was Chinese takeout from the day before. So, that's what I had for breakfast. I guess I could have taken the time to cook grits, but then my fridge would not have gotten clean. Have you ever eaten Chinese food or takeout for breakfast? What did you have? Was it freshly made or left over Chinese food?

I have never eaten chinese takeaway for breakfast but that is probably because I don't like it! I have to admit that I have had cold pizza for breakfast many times and almost find it tastier than when it is fresh and piping hot! lol xxx

There's yeast so that is probably the thing! I don't keep my pizza in the fridge, just in a cool place - try that it should fix the problem! xxx

Been there! Done that. Is there starch in pizza? I've heard that some soups with potatos have starches, so do rice, so they taste better the next day. Maybe that applies to pizza, too. I just wish I could find a way to keep my pizza second day fresh. Mine usually picks up a stale taste. Then again, my fridge is older and drains too. So, maybe it's just getting damp. Yuck! Thanks for your comments.

Yeah, if I get a Chinese takeaway the night before then I eat the rest of it in the morning as I cannot eat the whole thing in one sitting. I think it tastes a lot nicer in the morning. The last time I had a Chinese for breakfast was last Saturday as I had a King Prawn Curry the night before.

That's awesome! The King Prawn Curry sounds yummy. I'll see if our local Chinese dish shop has it.

I probably have. Usually I wait and have it for lunch but I'm sure at some point, I've eaten it for breakfast, too. We usually order a lot of food when we get Chinese, so we have enough left over for everyone to eat at least once more. Sometimes it's enough for three meals! Or at least two meals for everyone and either a third meal for my husband, or a third meal for my toddler and me.

That's how we do it too. That way I get at least one free day where I don't have to fix an extra work lunch. I can just freeze and thaw for the right moment.

Many time I have had left over chinese food for breakfast. I am a big eater of whatever happens to be left from the night before for breakfast... ;)

I'm there with you! Whatever I can find, I eat. That's my diet right now. But, I do try to eat sensibly. Which usually means, not eating at all.

I have to start by saying I'm not a morning person--so I hate cooking breakfast. With that said, my morning meal is usually leftovers or cereal. I've eaten leftover chinese food, pizza, taco's and lots of other interesting leftovers for breakfast. Another wierd thing about me is I love breakfast food in the evening. Scrabbled eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, and toast with jam are often my dinner choice.

When I was staying at my son's appt. in Taiwan we went down street for Chinese take-out. It was a busy place just off the street. You could eat there (on your way to work) or take it home. Most people ordered rice. Either fried or steamed. Soup in Asian Countries is always popular, but to a western appetite, is rather tasteless. We sometimes ordered sandwiches and brought home rice for my Daughter-in-law. Egg sandwiches with Chinese greens were my favourite.

Well, it's night time now, but I would have this morning. When I'm done typing this I'm going to break out the leftovers, lol. We have chinese food every week. I love ordering the curry chicken. But my favorite is regular white rice and chicken nuggets. I know, not very original. I also like their fried rice.

I can't recall specifically, but I'm sure that I have. One morning, after going out the night before, i had this craving for a mushroom and cheese burger from Burger King. I got it but by the time I got to the restaurant it was way after morning. Some food actually taste better the next day you know.

I never ate Chinese takeout from the day before for breakfast, but why not. In my twenties I used to eat whatever was left from the day before just cause I was not bothered to prepare anything for breakfast. Especially something like pasta with some nice sauce was fine with me, or pizza. If nothing was left there was always some fast food restaurant around the corner to pick up some burgers.

I love having left overs of my take outs the next morning! Chinese is my favorite take out so i have quite a bit of chinese food for my breakfast! I find sweet and sour chicken balls are the best in the morning it's my fav! Chicken curry is quite good also. But i must say the best take out to have the next morning has to be pizza! It's so good i tend to buy bigger pizza's just so i can have some in the morning! Of course it's not great to have left over take outs for breakfast alot but its good to indulge once and a while!

Food is food as long as you don't skip the most important meal of the day doesn't make much difference what you eat for it.

Ha ha no I have never eaten left over chinese takeaway for breakfast but I have certainly eaten it the following day at some point! In my days of weekend drinking I would often have leftover pizza for my breakfast the next day, with mayonaisse. Now that is very good to help shift a hangover, in fact I would spend the day after eating junk food.
