Do You have a favourite Gas station You've been using for years? Or Will you go out of your way with the higher prices to find someplace cheaper? try this- http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstations.aspx?zip=&src=Netx and see how high or low the prices are in your area! Which do you support? Loyalty or cheaper Gas?

The Petrol station I normally goto is 88.9, which is about the cheapest in the area (plus they have a reward scheme going). The most expensive is 92.9 on the way to work, which I avoid unless I get desperate.

The station closest to where I live is coincidentally the one with the most ripoff prices around, and I will avoid it whenever possible..Some months back I was stuck, and went in there..I opened the filler cap, stuck the nozzle into the car's filler, and waited for the pump to reset itself to zero so I could start pumping..it didn't happen..then after a long while, eventually the girl at the till came out,and I explained what happened.I hadn't gotten a drop of juice as the pump never started..but the display read £7 and change from the last sale, and She wanted ME to pay that amount! I disagreed with Her,and left...

Not anymore; it seem like even the ones that are usually the cheapest are not so cheap anymore. Gas is going to continue to go up and it will not be anytime soon for it to go down.

I Live in N.Ireland, close to the Border with the Irish Republic..Before this recession came about, many Petrol stations on this side of the border had went out of business as they couldn't compete any longer against cheaper prices on the other side, due to exchange rates between £/€..Recently,we've had (locally) some businesses going bust due to cash flow problems, but it seems there are others prepared to step in and buy up the business, but it's not easy for them,either..One place under new ownership that I'd posted another discussion on,about smokers hanging out on the forecourt(!) the last time I called in for a fill had "Out of Order" signs on many of the pumps, and padlocks on some..not a good sign, when the place either can't afford to fill their stock tanks,or maintain the pumps..

I don't really have a certain station that is my favorite. I guess my favorite is usually just whatever place is cheapest at the time! hehe I do try really hard to get the best deals. I sometimes look online to find which places are cheaper in my area, and I always try remember to check prices of stations as I'm driving past them on the way to and from work each day, and try to keep in mind which places seem to cost less so that I can remember where to stop when I need gas. I definitely take the cheaper gas over loyalty to a certain station, cause even if I'm only saving just a small amount each time, it can really add up after awhile!

There is a gas station I always go to because it's location is really convienent. It it right between my home and where I work. So whenever I need gas I just get it on my way home from work. I don't have to drive anywhere out of my way, which helps use less gas. But all around me the prices are just insane. Gas is getting too expensive, and if they keep going up at the rate they are now...people won't be able to afford to drive to work!! The cheapest gas around me is 3.96...and it gets up to 4.10+. It's just insane.
