8 glasses a day!

Hi people, I am trying to live a "healthy" life, I am currently on a diet and casually I go to the gym but I am struggling with drinking water as I should. Everyone (my trainer, dietitian, my doctor) tells me I should drink at least 6 - 8 glasses a day. I don't like water . . . it just doesn't go down well. One glass...ok, but more...hell no! What can I do?? Is there anyone that feels the same way about water?? Or am I just weird? LOL...

Yeah I have the same problem, i don't drink a lot really, why don't you try putting some flavour into your water, I went through a stage of drinking orange and pineapple squash, it all counts towards your recommended drinking allowance and it is better tasting! I go through phases where I love drinking just water but other times I find it boring so thats when I add some squash! Good luck

Yes we should drink at least 8 glases of water daily...to keep our body healthy or to keep our body enought of water. Do you known when u too thirsty...i don't think 8 glases of water is enought to you.But for the average of us 8 glases of water is very ideal capacity intake of water daily.

plain water is good for health.... why? plain water no addicted added.... so,that really good for your health. 80% or more from our bodies from water. if we not drink 8 glasses, we get some problem with our bodies..such as, kidney disease..

well cmon drinking water is very imp. u shud have it somehow . dont have all the 8 glasses in the same time. have 1 glass every few hours atleast. i dunno abt flavoured water. may be u can try it. well water is something good as it keeps u healthy and it prevents u from falling sick. basically they say any impurities or any kind of infection , bacteria inside the body will be washed away if u have lotsa water. so try to have as much water friend

I have alot of friends who do not like water. Water helps to flush toxins out of your body. It also helps keep us from getting dehydrated which is a serious situation. To be healthy it is important to keep hydrated and to eat healthy foods. Just doing this for a period of time is not good for you. A healthy way of life is the ticket.

It is popular in Japan today to drink water immedietly after waking up every morning. Furthermore, scientific tests have proven its value. the water treatment care for the following diseases: headache, body ache, heart system,TB, maningitis, cancer, etc.

Yes I know! This is why my doctor has been telling me to drink more water! I have been having headaches quite a lot lately and I just thought it was stress or something but she said there's not enough fluids flowing . . . a very long story indeed. in short i need to teach myself to drink more water. Thanks for your comment though . . .

My yoga teacher said that everything should be taken in moderation, including water. When you drink too much water then you will be putting an extra strain on your kidneys. I doubt if the people who stress over-drinking water really know what they are talking about.

I like what one restaurant here does, and that is putting a slice oflemon in your cold water, it perks it up and makes it so easy to drink water. I am not a big water drinker either but know I need to do it for good health.

I love water. I love to drink water! I drink the 6-8 glasses per day and sometimes more than the required glasses. As for you sir, just try, you will appreciate the taste of the water when you are very exhausted. Just try drinking one glass of water per day this month, and for the next month you increase the glasses of water. You will never know you can drink as much as 6 per day. Just try!

here are some of the reasons why you have to drink 8 glasses a day...hope this helps: ...next to air, water is essential for us to survive ...it helps remove toxic wates ...it carries nutrients and oxygen ...helps lungs in breathing (lungs must be moist to take in oxygen) ...it's vital for weight loss (breaks down protein and carbohydrates) ...gives you healthy beautiful skin you don't have to take in 8 glasses at one time, you can spread them over throughout the day and evening still, i don't think you're weird, maybe just a little eccentric perhaps? LOL
