My clover is made of Indian ink, at least I was told this, that I got when I was only 19 years old. At the time I was underage, because the state I lived in required a person to be 21 years old or they had to have a parent's consent....or sign a waiver. Well, I signed the waiver. How funny is that? My celtic knot is lonely and I am ready for my next tatt. Not sure when I will be getting it, but when I get them it is usually years apart and I already have the tattoo in mind to dwell on it a bit, considering how permanent they are. I usually get them when something big has occurred in my life. The first one was for my college years, the second one was for my first vacation as a working adult....and the third....well, who knows what is in store, but it will be something. So why do you get tattoos?

I only have one and it was a tribute to my kids. I have my kids initials with the Japanese love kanji and a lotus flower on my leg. It's a pretty tattoo. I do want another couple of them when I'm ready. I just haven't totally decided where to put them. I get tattoos of important people or events, something that means something to me. But I always put a little twist on them. There is more to my tattoo in symbolism that meets the eye. It's hard to explain in words because it's more of a feeling.

The only Tat I would get would be my daughter's name. But, I probably won't. Something about needles and pain stops me. :)
