How and when you get the star is a mystery around here but you will eventually get one if you keep posting. I think you have to reach a certain number of posts before it happens.

It's not a mystery at all. Everyone gets one when they reach 100 posts. It is our user reputations and reflects how other users have rated our posts with the + and - buttons.

You are definitely going to have to tell us which number you're talking about so we can answer you the right way. The star number is our reputation and you get it when you reach 100 posts which is the other number in parenthesis. i'm sure many of us would be glad to explain more once we know which number to tell you about.

Hi,
The number in the star is your rating in myLot. The more "+" rating and best responses, you get larger number in the star.
Star shows your reputation on myLot. So, try to get a star and get higher rating.
You will get your star when you reach 100 posts in myLot.

If you mean the number in parenthisis beside your name that is the number of posts you have done if you mean the number in the star that is your user rating you will get your star once you reach 100 posts.

if I am correct, you are referring to the number in parentheses beside the name. This number is based on the number of discussion posts or responses to discussions you make. It is the way we earn money on MyLot. If you don't know about this you need to read the rules of MyLot.

I'm basing this on 'old' MyLot rules, as I have had a break of a few months from here. It used to be (hopefully someone can confirm if this is still the case) that you had to post 100 discussions, or responses to discussions before you got your star.
The number in the star is dependent on how your discussions and responses are rated by other members. People will be rating your discussions now, and when you reach the 100 post mark, you will get a star.
