Why did E-Jay win?

Why did E-Jay win in the Pinoy Big Brother Teen edition? Unlike E-Jay whose major contribution to the show is the kilig factor brought about by his interest in the languid Valerie, E-Jay didn't really have a positive effect on the young people of today. Given that E-Jay is underprivileged than Robi in terms of finances, I just think that Pinoy Big Brother is not a charitable contest. Although in the past, Ruben's financial capacities or incapacities for that matter, also endeared him to the Filipino audience, Ruben was also humorous, a good son, husband and father, and he did not in any way compromise himself while he was on TV. All these made him the big winner in the last PBB Celebrity Edition. I cannot exactly pinpoint why E-Jay won. Probably his looks. But really, I am not happy with results. But then again, his winning was voted on by the entire Philippines. And like the way we select our government officials, we hailed the model of our Filipino youth today in E-Jay. What do you think? Do you also think that E-Jay is the most deserving of the two young guys? Good day and God bless you all!

E-Jay won because he got the favor of the majority of the Filipino people. Either him or Robi is deserving actually. Among the teens in that house, they're the two that are really deserving. Robi stands out as a leader while E-Jay stands out as a good follower to the rules and tasks in the house. If you look at it, they don't complain to whatever is instructed to them which shows that they can take on any challenge in life because they just do what needs to be done.

Actually I was even doubt about the result of the votes that was prevailed within 1 hour. It could be acceptable that Ejay can be a big winner if it was not really manipulated within an hour, that could be impossible. I have nothing against to Ejay why I don't like here is that according to my observation even the last season which is Celebrity Edition 2 Ruben's votes are running to fast within an hour to while the other housemates percentage are not moving and this was happened during commercial break. This kind of thing happened also to Ejay's case and someone told the other forumers that while they are in Araneta the votes of Robi is not moving for a second. I could really believe that Ejay could be a real big winner if the system was not like that. I do believe that Ejay has so many fans and yet a lot of people and of course Filipinos were voting him like crazy and I've even read that some OFW gave $1000 to her relatives here in the Philippines just to vote for Ejay. Even our maids they are voting for Ejay to become a big winner. And yet I believe that Ejay can be a big winner since Daddy John insulted him for being a poor Filipino or for being without knowing at all and speaking english that was held on his hot seat or Grand Teen Council. I mean he even asked Ejay if he will go to the showbiz without knowing anything even english then he even asked if this is a show for a poor. I believe it was not only Ejay who have been insulted but a lot of Filipinos that can relate to Ejay. That is why no wonder if the percentage of votes of Robi and Ejay are really close fight. For me Ejay's being a big winner is deserving a little bit since I believe there is more deserving than him and that could be Robi or Rona since they performed as a housemate with duties, responsibilities, they became a problem solver, and they did not proved themselves that they joined Pinoy Big Brother because they need something and that is the thing that I don't like to Ejay he keeps on proving that he needs something. I know of course there is nothing wrong about it but not to the extent that he is making or portraying that PBB is a charitable institution or a show for a poor, to that point Daddy John was a little bit understandable to that part.

Well I think it was his last statement which struck the audience when he said that he was the one that brought some hope to his own province mate which he perceive to be people that has low self esteem and morale that his presence there somehow has inspired his people to have some hope for the future. I was eyeing for Robi to be the big winner as I can sense from him the role model for the youth but I guess We Pinoys do love the underdog image than look for a better role model for their genre.

For me they're both deserving. They have their own pro's and con's. It's just that lots of Filipinos see that Ejay has much more reason to win. The fact that Ejay would like to help his family financially is one positive effect with the youth of today. Though most of us Filipinos have that intention already but there some who do not. It also conveys that he is a good son knowing that he is not a real son to the family he knows. I've seen humility to him as well though he was not intimidated by the others knowing he is different when it comes to financial status and english grammar, his boldness (lots of Filipinos would be specially if we know someone among us is on a higher level of social status and intellect.) And what I like about him is, I saw his sincerity and will to improve their (his family) lives. And that should be one positive effect to most of the Filipinos. I don't see that with other Filipino youth. But it depends how we see people. What I think is, since there are lots of Filipinos in poverty, they know where Ejay is coming from and likewise Ejay knows how most of the Filipinos feel. And that's what makes him a model for the Filipinos. As you said, it's just like how we choose government officials. Again it depends why we choose them and how we see them. Just like why you have your own choice. Why not Ejay? If I'm going to be Robi and the only reason for me to win is just because I want to be a tv icon or an actor (depends to his objective), then I would give the opportunity of winning to Ejay because he has a much better reason than me.

hey again. hehe. i also dont agree with the results. the last time i saw the votes, it was Robi who was leading, but then for the last minute, EJ overtook it. i thnk of all pbb seasons, this was the most unfair edition because i think there was bribery perhaps? Robi is really desrving to win because he is a good example of a Filipino youth. unlike ejay. i was also turned off when i saw their tasks, that traffic signs, and yet he doesnt know the simplest traffic signs ever. i guess thats shameful.,

Both of them deserves to win...But for me PBB big winner is not about who is less fortunate compared to others. It's about attitude, someone you can look up to. Its not just a follower but also a leader. That is what our youth needs today. Many of us suffers because our unstable economy but all we need is a good leader and a good model for our youth of today.

It's the people the votes for him. Most of the young Filipinos are in poverty, and we are very much grateful that our voices are heard through him.
