Whats with JUNE? IS it that "special" month? Why's there's a lot of brides wnat to get married on this month? They said that JUNE is the month of JUNOS, the goddess of marriage, that is why they want to be on that month. But is that practical? OR just a tradition?...Can u give your side about this and if you like to get married, would you want in on june?...

Actually, wedding season is from May to September. These are the most busiest months for weddings and what they call the high season for weddings or rush season. I'm getting married end of August, closer to the end of the season. Those who chose outside of the high season end up with lower venue costs, vendor costs and saving money. Another way to save money is to chose an early afternoon or morning reception (more of a buffet style reception rather than sit down meal) and choosing to get married on a weekday or Sunday lowers the cost of a wedding.

I guess it's another "cliche" or whatever. I've been married twice and my first wedding was in December and my Second one was in August. I don't like to follow the crowds. :)

I guess there is tradition that makes it (June) an ideal month for brides. They say "January, June marriages are always the happiest". I wouldn't know, I got married on the full moon of May, the day my Guru was born and also the day the Buddha was born. I guess I wanted to show them my respect and admiration and hoped that my marriage would be blessed by them.

I have found that there are lots and lots of wedding starting right in April right till Septemeber. Those seem to be the highest months. I am engaged but we are not too sure on the month we are planning for probably summer but not really sure. My fiance is a hard worker when he is working he is gone for several months on end. He is a pipeliner/oilrigger. On his down time from this he is a farmer. Usually his downtime is in the summer hence grain, bailing etc etc. So we are still up in the air about this one.

i hope i can be at that date. but what matters most is not on the date of the wedding but the commitment of the both of you. I have live-in partner for more than three months and we have plans but still we need to sure that we are for each other and will live for a lifetime.
