Do you find joy in cooking food?

Do you enjoy cooking? Do you like cooking as an emotional or creative outlet? Or, do you simply cook to prepare food and feed your family? One of the greatest pleasures and joys of my life is cooking. It's a soul healing experience. Ever since my stove went on the blink and stopped working right, I've been restricted to cooking on a small one eyed burner. But, that hasn't stopped me from making my favorite foods like stove top casseroles; sloppy joes and macaroni and cheese (with rotini noodles). I love cooking! When I'm cooking, I get my best ideas for MyLot. When I'm cooking, I have the chance to think through problems and find a solution. When I'm cooking, I'm in my own blissful realm. Please share your love of cooking and cooking experiences. And, any cooking tips, you might have.

I love to cook and bake. I spend most of my time in the kitchen when I can and I don't just cook I love to create A FEAST!! I guess it's the Italian side of me. I enjoy baking with my children and I love to cook Italian food as well as Spanish cuisine and others. But I would never do it for a living because then I would NEVER cook at home. I'd probably be to tired and sick of looking at food all day. :)

That's a good point! I don't think that I could ever work in a restaraunt. I'm too much of a computer geek! LOL!

okay, I LOVE to cook. My kids and my husband all tell me that my food is better than any takeout:) However, through no fault of my own, my husband can always tell if something's not quite right with me....If I'm mad at him about anything, I tend to burn his rice (or whatever he's eating) ha ha ha

I like to cook and bake. It is the cleaning up afterward that I would rather do without. I try to clean and cook at the same time to cut down on clean-up time. Usually I have a two year old running between my legs while I am doing this though so it becomes a little more difficult. My air conditioning needed fixed this weekend and we hit a really hot spell suddenly. I have been wanting to try making the jello/cake recipe that I saw on mylot a few weeks back but I haven't wanted to run the oven. I like cooking with my husband. Even if I am doing all the cooking; I like to have someone to talk to. My older kids love to help too. So I let them help with baking and earlier meals.

Yes, I do love to cook, but not if it is only for me. When I have someone else to cook for it is more fun. I used to cook every day when I was living with my husband and now that I am living with my daughter, I do most of the cooking here too. She isn't much of a cook, but she really tries and that is what is important. She is good at baking though and since I don't like baking it works out good for us.

I am not a good cook nor a professional cook. But in response to your question, I really love to cook and is still learning. It is really a pleasure when someone taste and appreciates my cooking.

I do find joy in cooking food. I cook for myself only, because I am vegetarian, other family members are non-vegetarian. So, I can cook in whatever way I like. I always change and experience different types of cooking. I enjoy it.

I enjoy cooking also. Tonight I blessed shrimp and imataion crab meat together and added butter and garlic salt. That tasted really good. Sometimes I take shrimp and mix it in with frozen vegtables. That tastes really good also.

Yes I enjoy cooking, that is, if I have the time and energy. I don't think I could do it for three meals a day, everyday.

Yes, I do love cooking and must be a healthy cooking! I love to cook to please my family and to provide them healthy food which fastfoods and restaurants out there can not afford. Their top favorites are my white spaghetti and my spicy and sweet chicken.

Sometimes, when I go beyond simple bachelor type meals I get a real thrill out of cooking. The last time I felt this way I made Butter Chicken with Jasmine Rice.

I think the greatest thing about cooking is being able to make what YOU want to eat. Even better you get to make it how you like it and it's nice to able to share that enjoyment with others who hopefully enjoy it as much as you do.
