If your at home, what else do you do aside from being active here in myLot?

Hello to all I just happen to think about this when I spent the whole day at home. Aside from being here in myLot, or anything related to a computer, I did the typical things that I do. - I took care of my nephews when they needed it. Fixed them their bottles of milk or helped out when they were being given a bath. - Ate when I got hungry. Drank when I got thirsty. - Took a bath when I couldn't bear the heat which often reach up to 40 degrees, though I'm not really sure if that's accurate. - Glimpsed on what was on the television. - Played every now and then on a handheld, played Tekken Dark Resurrection on a PSP ... just to name a few. This isn't really a poll or anything like a survey since, aside from conducting one isn't really allowed in this site, I wouldn't really know any statistical tool that would be used n'or what kind of study it would be. I'm just wondering on what other members here do when they are at home, aside from being active here in myLot, or anything related on using a computer. Perhaps sharing yours can ignite a good idea for another discussion, help anyone whose interested to start something new in their house routine or perhaps find solutions from other people's routines when its seems someone else's has difficulty. You can list everything if you want, or if your motivated to do so, even leave your comments on why you do such things Thank you and good day.

hey nanny ratyz! i don't know what a male nanny is called so i just used nanny.^__^;; whenever i'm at home, and that's during weekends, i do things just like you, eat when i'm hungry, drink when i'm thirsty, go to the bathroom when needed! you forgot that one.^__~ take a bath. watch tv especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday is CSI and Criminal Minds night. Saturday is Supernatural and movie night. i try to watch them regularly because they are just awesome shows don't ya think? at times when i'm running out of my personal stuffs, i would go to the grocery and shop. if i have lots of extra money, i would go shopping for new clothes and stuffs.^__^ i seldom go out with friends because they are busy with their family lives. i seldom date during weekends because i'd rather stay at home and rest. enjoy the weekends free from pressure at work.^__^ and then, i also play with my little nephew and little niece once in a while. at times i would eat with them. at times i let them play with the keyboard and the mouse which my little niece loves so much. on rare times, i would clean our little garden, pull up the weeds and trim the plants. and then, while myLotting, i also take time to watch Korean and Japanese dramas in the internet. check my friendster and my other accounts at different social sites. there are other things i want to do during weekends but the computer always gets the better of me so two days aren't enough for me to do everything i want. i just wish they'd make weekends a 3-day vacation from work.

CSI and criminal minds are available on Channel23. you don't need a cable connection to watch it. ^__^ hey, i was able to watched a few episodes of With Yoo Hee too! it was a funny show but i wasn't able to finish it. Yoo Hee was definitely a tsunderrekko.

Nanny... I guess that's what I'm doing anyway I guess I didnt't include that (go to the bathroom when needed) as among the routine since it doesn't come around on a regular basis. It only calls when it calls. I do think that they are very awesome shows, even now that we don't have cable for our television.. oh yeah, we don't have a television at the moment and the its board is currently being tested at the service shop. I also go out on errands on buying things that we need.. it mostly has milk for my nephews and anything else that I call raions. Odd, when my folks invites me to go out, I seem to prefer to stay at home instead.. maybe because a nephew would come along and it would really be too much trouble to chase him around, especially at malls where space it very abundant for him to run to.. I prefer if they take him along and leave me to rest up at home. I can't deny playing with those nephews of mine.. probably part of being a nanny I guess.. can't weed out our backyard though.. The last Korean drama show that I was able to watch was Witch Yoo Hee.. can't deny being a fan of Tsunderekkos Haven't really checked on those social sites I have joined..

Hmmm...since I work from home, here's more or less the routine: When I'm out, I might be out the whole day, normally my wife goes along with me to do different errands. When we're at home, we're mostly on the computer - eBay!~ HAhahaSince we need to load up pictures, we'll be taking a lot of photos. Night times sometimes we might just watch a DVD. I guess that's quite about it? HahahaWell, at least of what I can think of at the moment. In fact I haven't been mylotting as much as my wife does lately. I'm working out my income tax stuff as it's due by the end of this month

Would those errands be delivering items that you post on ebay? You do business at home as you've mentioned before with ebay.. watching DVDs.. haven't been doing that for a long time.. haven't been at the cinemas too for that matter Income tax..

My guess was right Lest half a year for you? I think I only go to the cinemas to watch a film a few times a year.. though as if I need to be there every now and then when a good film is showing I asked my dad about his income if he pays income tax.. he said that that's automatically taken from his income when he gets paid. Having your own business, you also have to file your income tax

Sometimes the errands include delivering eBay stuff to the courier place that is if we do pass by that area. If not we normally just call them & they'll come pick up. Normally the errands will include a lot of different stuffYeah, DVDs once in a while to relax, haha. Haven't been to the movies for quite a while as well....I think it's been at least half a year already, hahahaYeah, income tax....haha. Don't mind the submitting part, just the accounts part can be quite tedious at times, hahaha

I am so busy as a bee when I am at home. let me share with you my daily routine.. during weekdays: at 5 in the morning - I personally cook our breakfast and the dish for the whole day. (I always bring food at work, so I really need to wake up early to cook for it.), -after that, we eat,I'll wash the dishes. -after that, I'll take a bath, and then prepare for work. and when I'm home again: -I will call my boyfriend then talk to him for a few minutes. -I will clean our house. -I'll prepare something for dinner.(I will only cook if my dad already eat all the food that I cook that should be for the whole day.).. that's my routine during weekdays. for weekend: during saturday: I am so busy as a bee and the ants. LOL. at 6 am in the morning-I'll prepare first our breakfast then eat. -I'll go to the market to buy some stuff that I can cook for the whole week. when I got home, -I will clean all those stuff that I bought. -I'll do the laundry at around 9 am. -at 10:30 am I will cook our lunch. -then I'll go back to my laundry. -when dad's home we'll eat lunch. -then, I'll go back again to my laundry till I finish it. -after the laundry, I'll clean our house. -after all that cleaning, I'll take an hour rest, then take a bath. -then talk to my boyfriend. -then its dinner time.eat!eat!eat! -at around 8 pm, there will be my time for my boyfriend. we'll talk over the phone for a long hours. during sunday: -its either my boyfriend and I will go out, or rest for the whole day!..(ooopppss..of course, I wouldn't forget to go to church, giving time for God.)

You literally gave details on your routine.. so you do myLot at work which is already obvious.. I wish there was a clap emoticon on the myLot code, or even a salute.. Frankly, your a well oiled machine as they say, a gold mine for those in search.. you know how to cook, keep the house and you also happen to be working along those things.. ....

They play well together, plus my hubby (happy Father's Day sweetie!) takes them outside to play baseball. The boys are very good about understanding that when I'm at my craft table, they need to leave me be. I'm there id they need something, but they know I'm working. Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads!

Shower is indeed essential I know 'text' if that means SMS on cellphones but, what do you mean by 'ring?' I only tried to do cross stitch once.. my patience was like that of a child's so I barely finished mine..

So that what you mean with ring.. should've figured that out from the text alone.. me slow.. Hehehe, you get bored when your hands aren't doing anything? Same here, though I mostly do Rubick's Cubes to pass the time while my hands solve and unsolve it multiple times.. but, yours is more productive of course
@Elixiress (3878)
16 Jun 08
Yeah text does mean sending an SMS on a mobile phone, and ring means calling someone on either a mobile phone or house phone to talk to them. I love cross stitching, I find them really relaxing and they keep my hands busy while watching TV, because I get bored if my hands aren't doing much.

actually i'm hook with computers every time im home and like to do lots of things with my computer like sufing the net, playing online games and chatting. what i do if im not in front of a computer is to sleep or eat. thats the only thing that i can remember doing when im home. i'm a very lazy person and don't want to engage in house chores because someone is taking care of it. i also usually call my girlfriend every time i misses her and her voice that would be every 15 minutes i guess. thats what i usually don when im home, not impressive as the other responder in this discussion.

Perhaps you always do that at home since your often busy when your not at home at all. Some people often seem to be lazy at home but suprisingly proficient when they're out and doing their occupations. Don't think that your routine is not that impressive, theres nothing to compete about among others that have alredy responded anyway. When your at home, you take your time to rest. Most people do that.

Well, for me, it depends if it is a day I have other things to do, or just a night where my main goal is to be online like now, and posting back here in myLot. If it is one of my days off, and my husband is at work, I am actively posting here online, and then I am busy doing laundry, checking my Email from time to time, making phone calls, etc. as well. I actually think that even people who are always posting at least 50 here in myLot need a break from this site as well.

My days are spent taking care of my sons (one goes to school but the other is home with me all day). I do whatever chores need done around the house and taxi my boys to therapy a couple of times a week (they're both Autistic). Usually, however, I have my nose stuck in a book. I love to read and even read while watching TV. I read during the commercials. lol I need to have a yard sale, so when I feel up to it I sort thru stuff to see what needs to go. I've been going slow with it, though. I need to get a move on and get it over with. Our attached garage is a mess since that's where I put it all. lol

Having two special needs children has really forced me to learn patience. Generally I am the least patient person in the world, but with the boys I know some of what they do isn't their fault or they don't understand. With other people, however, my temper is pretty short, and so is my patience level. I have to curb my frustrations with my sons but if someone else comes along and pushes me to hard, I snap back with frustration that has been stored up. That's why I try to take time out to read and force myself to take a break when I can. That way I'm not acting like a loon over something that shouldn't be a big deal but because of other stuff I've had nowhere to go with my frustration and someone gets it all in their face. As for the yard sale, I'm sure I'll have to put some of it on Ebay. Some of the stuff are collectables that I won't sell for yard sale prices so they probably won't sell there unless someone really wants them. My husband has stereo equiptment from his car he is selling (he replaced everything but the old amps, subs and so on still work) and that's not the "usual" yard sale item. I just hate to mess with packing and shipping stuff. Lazy. lol

You really do have to take those chances and force yourself to take those breaks of yours, I can't imagine myself if I'd be wearing yours shoes with the patience that I have.. Well, I guess you'd just work things out with that yard sale and online as well.. good luck with that

you really have alot of patience. I'm already yelling at my nephews when they are being hard to handle. Not to mentioned those house hold chores that would really take the strength out of you. Garage sale? Perhaps you can also sell them online through ebay or something.. with that, you know which items to pack and ship off to those genuine buyers.

What a fun discussion! Most days I do all of the following at various times throughout the day. Personal care, such as showers, comb hair, etc. Prepare meals for my family and child. Watch TV online. Watch free movies online at my free movie blog. Chat online with friends at MyLot. Check my Gmail account once a day. Clean my house. Wash dishes. Feed my cats. Make sure my child takes a bath and supervise that as she is too young to be in the bathroom alone during tub time. Update my free movie blog and free recipes blog. That's always fun. I'm sure there are one or two things that I'm leaving out. Oh, one more thing. I do play dollies with my little girl. That's always fun. And sometimes we all go outside together and play.

I love being at home and never get bored. I usually clean house, do laundry and polish furniture. Since I am an artist I paint, make recycled paper, draw, do beading, work with pencil, oil pastels and watercolors. I play fetch with my dog until she gets tired, do some gardening, talk on the phone, watch a movie, make a dessert from scratch, organize my basement junk, try new makeup, learn a language, write in my journal and the list goes on and on. I love having my entire house to myself.

I use to go to computer rent shops wherein I check mail and do research when I need additional input on some homeworks or projects. I often also go there to play online games. Now that we have our own connection at home after getting out own computer as well, I don't go to shops anymore unless, there are reasons to. So, what are the typical things that you do at home then?

I am definitely a multitasking individual. If I am at home and I am online, I would be doing other things too. For example, while working on myLot activities, I am also working on my powerpoint presentations that I will be using for my lectures. Or, teach my sister to play the piano while doing myLot activities. Sometimes, I would also be watching TV while doing computer stuffs. Well of course, eat when I am hungry and drink when I am thirsty.

I barely have the time to stay home, so I take advantage of my free time with my pretty nieces and adorable nephews. When I have more time, I watch movies or read books. Recently, I have started drawing again and it was only then that I got to realize how much I've missed doing it. I have failed to do it for years, since I've been busy with work. Have a good day!

I like to watch TV, play guitar and clarinet and write but I don't get as much time as I would like to do those things. I'm self employed so I tend to work very long hours!
