Tongue rings and dental problems...

Did you ever think there could be a link between tongue rings and having dental problems well there is. So many people have gotten there tongue peirced and then had dental problems. Well i am an example of this. Of course i had dental issues before i got my tongue peirced but never had it this bad. I had a few cavities in the back but nothing major. I had a bad habit of taking my tongue ring and clicking it against my teeth well that broke the enamil on my teeth which then began to make my teeth chip and break. I thought it was cute at the time when i had it done but now i kind of in a way wish i didnt get it dont because it did contribute to the dental problems i am currently dealing with now. What are your feelings on tongue rings?
