Are your parents from the same country?

My mother was born in Canada and has lived here all her life. My father was born in the Netherlands and immigrated to Canada when he was 19. They met, fell in love and were married 8 months later. They are still happily married. Does anyone else have parents that come from different countries?

My parents were both born in America, but they are from different nationality backgrounds. My mother's family were Russian Jews and my father's family were Irish Catholics. Interesting combo!
