Yesterday, I spoke with a person that mentioned that they are fearful of the government and all the power they hold over us. This got me to thinking, which I may very well write about later: "what happened to true freedom?" What are your thoughts on this subject and especially on the subject of freedom in the world today. Freedom of the United States of America? I often wonder how it is that we have so many government agencies that do so little and spend so much doing that.

Well I think that a government should not be feared by citizens who are doing their duty as a citizen of their government. I mean if you pay your taxes and is abiding by the laws that govern your state I really have no reason to fear for it. Governments are supposed to look for the welfare of their citizenry. In the case of US I think they are just making the necessary things that your government is doing after the 911 incident and all the threats that your country is receiving I think there are things they have to do to protect you there. I think US has given their people too much freedom that is why other countries are taking advantage of it. Try living in China, or Burma or maybe in Tibet you'll appreciate more the freedom in your place than in the places I mentioned. Be grateful for that.

Yes that is what I truly appreciate in your country in my place we do all the kinds of protest in here to no avail many of those are already MIA and we do not know what happened to them. In you place does that happen. I don't think you will be liable when you killed someone defending your home. You have a very efficient judicial system there. In my place it will take years before a case would even be resolved except if you have money the law will moved in your favor. I do not perceive your government to be perfect but I admire them for the efficiency at least if you compare it to my government or others. Democracy is working at its best than living in other places. Try living in my place you may feel the fear in here more with the kidnappings on the rampage and the government cannot do anything to resolve the case. Where the terrorist can freely say their demands and government can only say they cannot give the ransom but underneath there are negotiations for ransom to be paid and moreso our police and military are involved in the shares of the ransom. Sometimes I do believe that who really runs this government of ours.

I am terrified of the government! Some of the things that government has been trying to do lately has got me convinced that they are not here for the poeple, they are here for personal gain....A perfect example is the Gov of Canada is trying pass a law that will ban 75% of health foods....why would any Gov want to do that...shouldnt they want the people to be healthy....of course they dont....when people are sick, they cant fight back and they have to shell out money which goes back to the Gov for healthcare....I am very afraid what the future holds....they are trying to keep us down and make us sick and most people still wont wake up and see what they are doign until it is too late!
