How are you helping the gas crisis in America?

I know what I'm doing to improve the gas crisis and reduce the amount you pay at the pump, I traded in my 1996 Cadillac Eldorado with a 4.9L for a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 2.2L. I want to know what you've done to reduce your gas usage? Did you start carpooling? Trade in your gas guzzler? Walking to close places instead of driving?

I'm taking the public bus with everybody else and rolling in my wheelchair more than just taking the paratransit (special transit for disabled folks) as much as I used to.

We have all but quit driving. We make one trip to do our errands rather than many. We try to fill up in the middle of the week rather than on the weekends. We do not go on leisure trips anymore, which sucks! We keep our car tuned up and the tires pumped up. And sometimes my husband rides the bus to work.

I don't have a car, so not only do I not need to pay for gas, but it's one less vehicle emitting crap that will just go into our atmosphere. I take the bus everywhere.
