For me, i think the ideal age is 24 or 25..i gave birth to my 1st son when i was 25..after i finished my 1st degree and had a job and a little savings. So i can manage the family well.

Its a great idea to wait until you have the finances. I also think that even if you have to work a little harder after the baby its still rewarding. But being stable is the better way to go. A lot less stress involved.

I think 27-year-old should be more appropriate and then young couple have more ability and experience to foster child. And also they can have a more health baby.

I had my first child when I was 20 and my second when I was 22. I really enjoy seeing them grow as i go through my changes, but there are things that you learn as you get a little bit older. If I could have exactly the same little angels as I have now then I would have waited until I was in my mid-late 20's to have them. at least until i was finished with school. so now me and my son are both doing homework lol. actually i don't really think there is an age thing, we always make it work.

I asked just out of curiosity. I dont think its so much of an age but the right maturity level.

I don't think it matters what age you are as long as you are responsible enough to look after a baby/child aswell as yourself. Aslong as you don't mind not having much time to yourself and like running after kids you will be fine. I think as long as you and the child is happy and healthy, any age is the ideal age. ~Joeys wife

I guess it depends on the person I was first pregnant at 19 in a stable relationship and our daughter is now 19 we are still together and also have a 2 year old daughter. Some people I know though are certainly not capable of bringing up a child yet at the age of 20 yet some are at 17 or can at the least manage extremely well if they find motherhood thrust upon them.

I wish sometimes there was just something you could do to stop immature people from getting pregnant lol. Definately (sp?) not an age issue but maturity is key.

For me, the ideal age to have kid is 23 or older or if you are already stable. In my case, I got married at a very young age but i don't regret it. It was not planned but right now I enjoy it a lot..

My baby wasn't planned either. Like you I don't regret it either. I do wish I would have waited until I was finished with college though.

I had my first chid when I was 17, so this meant that I fell pregnet at the age of 16. I had no problems I love my life and I love my kids.I really can't say when an ideal age is, but I really think that having a child over the age 40 is a bit of a risk to mother and child due to complications. I think you know when it is the ideal time yourself to have a baby. All situations are different.

I totally agree with you about the ideal age. I don't really think there is one. I also think that its your own choice if you want a baby at the age of 40. But from knowing a couple who did it I learned it was something I would never do.
