I have been a big fan of Dickens ever since I started reading. My favorite book by him is A Tale of Two Cities. The only book I haven't read by him is Pickwick Papers. I just bought it and I'm wondering if it's just as good as his other books. Someone told me that it's really funny and that it's kind of different because it was written when Charles Dickens was like 23 or 24 years old. Does anyone recommend it? Is it really funny? Does it have good characters? What is your favorite Dickens book?

I liked it, but it's maybe a bit more confusing than Dickens other books. It's a lot of characters, so many that it can be a bit difficult to keep track of them. It's both funny and slightly sad characters, but this book is maybe funnier than his other ones. It's no great drama, just a lot of small ones. I'd recommend it if you like thick books :-)
