Do you watch a movie right after its release or only after knowing its review?

It depends an the star cast. If the movie is of one of my favorites then I'll straight away go for the show, otherwise if people around me says that a particular movie is nice then I'll watch it. Sometimes I do read the reviews even if I have heard some praises for a particular movie.

It depends. If the title looks good, I might go see it. But normally I read a review first in a magazine before I go see the movie. If it doesn't look appealing at that time I'd wait until I heard some better reviews from friends who might have seen it.

It depends when I was a kid I use to go the opening weekend to see the big movies like comic book movies like xmen. But now I dont care about seeing it right away I can usally wait to see it plus I usally listen to the reviews and if they say the movie sucked then ill just wait for it to come out on dvd because going to the movies is pretty expensive now of these days.

I normally don't like to watch a movie on its first day, first show. Normally a big crowd gather on first day first show of a new movie and I don't like too much crowds. So I usually watch a movie either through CD at home or in theater after few days of its release.

Hi sharay. If I really want to see a particular movie because it has stars in it that I like, I go ahead and see it regardless of what the reviews say. If I am more curious about the film and aren't that excited about any of the actors in it, that's when I check the reviews. After that, I make a decision about whether to see the movie right away or wait until it comes out on DVD. Then, I usually use Netflix or occasionally Blockbusters to rent DVDs. I rarely purchase a DVD for us to watch as I don't want to have to store them and take care of them. Take Care. PearlGrace

I rarely read a review before I see a movie. I may go on IMDB to see what the rating is if I'm trying to decide between two movies. Otherwise, I watch movies because they look interesting or I like the actors or director or I enjoyed the book they're based on, and not on reviews.

It depends on the movie, by this time and at this point in life from reading a synopsis or seeing a trailer I can get a feel for a movie and figure out whether or not I will like it, no review needed. Actually I write a lot of reviews, tend to watch everything.

Dear friend, I do watch good movies if I come to know through media or other ways. I also watch movies when I feel bored to just for relaxation without even checkings its review or any other only check that if I had seen it before and if possible I would just look at the photos or postures of that movies kept. May be just for relaxation I would watch a movie without any other information and if not liked I may also get away from ther or just change to another interest.

If the movie is very interesting and I like the main cast, I will probably wait for the premiere of this movie. But If I'm busy I will just wait for the release of the original CD or DVD. For me, it's nice to watch movie in your home. It's more comfortable and safe and ofcourse if you want them to watch again you can rewind it and review the scene you don't understand.

I usually wait for the reviews since I don't mind if Im the last person to watch the film. i don't care if the movie has an ensemble cast just as long as I won't be wasting time and money on a movie that sucks. If the reviews aren't as good, I'd wait for it to be shown on cable or borrow a copy from a friend.

I never read the reviews. I watch the movie and deicde for myself if I like it or not. Not everyone has the same taste so I don't really see the point of reviews anyways.

I usually dont pay that much attention to the reviews unless they are terrible. Half the time the critics do not like the movie and I end up liking it. That is my story and I'm sticking to it.

I m ambivalent until anyone suggests me to watch a movie.. Whenever i choose a movie by myself, i experience that the movie is BORING. So, Before watching a movie i discuss it with my friends whether the movie suits me or not.

I usually don't wait for the review. not everyone has the same opinion about something, and I like to be the judge of what I don't like and what I do like.
