My granddaughter's first birthday

Yesterday was my only granddaughter's first birthday. Last week my family came over because they could not make the party this week. My daughter invited her friends and our family and friends. It was supposed to rain and we were having it outdoors, with pool, etc. Well, talk about a perfect day because it started to rain only after the last person left. It was a good day and it was so nice to see my daughter and granddaughter enjoying such a good day. Not only that, with Father's Day being today, I had a surprise for my husband. His friend that he used to work with in NYC, and has not seen in a long time, agree with me to come out with his wife. I never told him about it and he was so happy to see them that he cried. It was a good surprise for him, too.
