nanajanet responded to a discussion called What is Your Take On This??? in questions & answers.

It is like the quote by Dr. Wayne Dyer, "Change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change." Our opinions of things are colored by our own experiences and how we were raised. There are as many ways to look at things as there are people, so needless to say, no one will ever really agree on all things all of the time... the kaleidoscope of life.

I am Big Bird: I have a wonderful imagination and am very creative. I sometimes can get too excited over new things, which often leaves me feeling disappointed when things don't turn out like I planned. But I never stay down for long and always try again.

I think that I lean more towards Grover but the part about not staying down long, and being creative are a part of what I am.

I never used any stuff for fleas. We would use natural products and just bathe them with dandruff shampoo (it works great). One thing to do is cut a lemon into quarters and place in a pint jug. Cover the lemon with boiling water and let it steep overnight. Next day you have a flea repellent that you can use in a spray bottle. Spray all over your dog remembering especially behind the ears an...

nanajanet responded to a discussion called Has any of your family, past or present served in the military? in people.
Several. Both of my grandfathers served in World War 1 as well as their brothers. My father and his brother served in World War 2. I had uncles and cousins in the Korean War, my husband, his brother and other relatives in the Vietnam War. My nephew served in Operation Desert Storm. Most were in the army but my husband, and his father, were Navy men.

No, never walk away and leave kids in car, under the age of 12. I cannot believe that she left the keys in the car, either! OMG!! How dumb is that. I think that it is illegal to leave kids, under the age of 12, alone anywhere... in a home, in a car, etc.

nanajanet responded to a discussion called Ticked Someone Off...LOL.

Ah, I had a ten last year, and during conversations on the presidential issue, suddenly mine dropped a bit and I am sure it is from someone who did not like my point of view, or candidate. LOL It just proves to me that some people are immature but I thought that it was funny that they felt that it would hurt me? What is the point? Do we get tossed off? Do we lose money? Do we stop getting re...

nanajanet responded to a discussion called Reality TV- are you over it? in life.

I enjoy some of them, like the cooking and dancing contests. One that I really did enjoy, a lot, was Gene Simmons Family Jewels. That was entertaining and not ridiculous. A cute family that were very nice. Some are just plain stupid and some are liveable if I am really bored and that is all that is on (not usually, lol).

nanajanet responded to a discussion called Things on your 'to do' list? in life.

My home "to do" list is huge and I am slowly ticking off the household projects. Ny dream list, mostly travel, I have been also slowly working on that. We took a month's vacation to Italy summer 08 and it was great. Now I am working on the sites in the US, for now, that we have not seen. This summer we visited places in Maine, Mass, NY, Vermont and NH that we have not seen. Next summer w...

I no longer use Adobe Acrobat. I use Foxit Reader and you can download it for free. It takes up SO much less space on the computer, too.

My sister brought it for us to watch on Thanksgiving. I had never read the Iron Man comics so I did not know the story but it was a pretty decent movie. Now, I would not say Academy Award level, but...
