Mine went down after a political discussion but that did not last. I guess because I am always nice to everyone on here and do no preach or cause drama. That makes a huge difference. People will respond to you according to how you treat them. |
 | nanajanet responded to a discussion called Special Needs Children... in school. 2 months ago
I teach in a dance school and we do have some. I have a boy with Autism in my class and his sister, who has Down's Syndrome is in another class. I have dealt with other special needs children throughout the years in dance.. Spina Bifida, Down's Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, etc.
There is no reason why they should not be mainstreamed. They must live in the real world, and as long as we ca... |
 | nanajanet responded to a discussion called I am a senior citizen, must I give up my seat on the bus for a young person? in life. 2 months ago
I am 55 and in decent health. If I saw another person who looked liked they needed the seat more than I did, no matter their age, I would offer it to them. I have been offered a seat by others and usually decline, unless I am really not feeling well.
I always, as a young person, and still do, will offer my seat to someone much older than I. I will just ask, "Would you like to sit down?" If ... |
 | nanajanet responded to a discussion called Have you ever played with a frog? in questions & answers. 1 month ago
Yes, I have. My brother used to own frogs, until my mother, who is freaked out by critters, banned them from the house.
We live in the woods so we get toads. You may move something and suddenly there is one sitting there, hiding underneath it. Some are just very tiny and other as big as my hand.
I found out that if you hold them in your hand, they will pee. LOL So, now I do not pick them ... |

Wouldn't it be wonderful if science/medicine, could take the time to help blind people develop this to their full potential. I am sure that most could, if therapy were spent on concentrating on this skill. If he could do it, so could many others, yes? |
 | nanajanet responded to a discussion called What a difference a day makes. in people. 1 week ago
I have had days like that, all in one day. I guess when I have lost a loved one, has been the worst. Having a good day and bam, a phone call, a knock on the door, etc., brings you bad news.
I think it is a part of life that we cannot avoid but how we react to it is affected by so many factors. I handle things like that well. Not that I am not deeply saddened and shocked, but my philosophy is... |
 | nanajanet received a best response in the discussion Something Has Got to Give!!! by LadyMarissa. 1 month ago I agree!!Make all our own products and buy our own products. Make sure all ingredients sold are have random tests by the company not by the company buying the ingredient, but if we do not have this crap to start with, I do not see a problem.
Also, do not allow anyone who is not a US citizen to work here (no visas) and not stay for more than a certain amount of time, unless they prove tha... |
 | nanajanet received a best response in the discussion And people wonder why you can't take small town Texas seriously by ElicBxn. 4 weeks ago There is so much corruption in the legal system, not just Texas, that this is not so shocking. I know of corruption in our own small town police force and it makes me sick. How do we stop it?
Many would love to but fear repercussions that could cause them trouble, bodily harm or even death, that they keep their mouths shut. |
 | nanajanet received a best response in the discussion Obama's feelings by bhanusb. 2 months ago Well, I do believe that to be true, as I hear racist remarks from many people. You also forget that many people did not vote, who are racist. I know of a few. So, although he won, there are people who chose not to vote or are not eligible to vote who do hate him for his skin color. It angers me, too.
Because of that, they will nay say any of his policies, right or wrong. Do I agree with all ... |
