i am a person that has to know everything.. is that why i have depression issues? i mean yeah people are predestined to have mental probs but maybe if i was ignorant to the negative parts of life maybe i would be happier.. do you think you would? or would you be more irritated at not knowing?

Oh, I can defintely relate here. I have trouble ignoring the bad parts. I can't just let things go. If something is negative I feel it and that is just how I've always been. It could definitely worsen the depression, but I don't think it causes it. From my experience though, the negative things do make the depression and anxiety even worse.

one thing that drives me nuts is those people that walk around in a daze convinced that the world is a happy place and get mad when you dont agree.. im sorry im not gonna fake that i believe that to make other people feel better lol

The way I see it, If you are ignornt of something then you would not know you are ignorant and thus not worry about or be irrated by not knowing. Kinda Irish logic there, but works for me. And let's face it - we can't know everything anyway.

I think that ignorance is only bliss to the ignorant, and ten when they meet someone who is not ignorant, they feel threatened and want to beat the ignorant person down to their level. When someone has risen above ignorance and is no longer ignorant, it's impossible to go back to being ignorant again. Just like you can't un-experience something. Once it's happened, it's happened.

One of my favorite sayings is 'It's on a need to know basis, and I don't need to know' lol I have never been one that needs to know everything about everybody. I don't need to know what my man is doing every minute of everyday (I know what he does for a living and a lot of it he can't even tell me about), nor does he have the need to know what I do everyday (this comes from trust). I have never been one that wants or needs to hear about everyone elses drama, or whining either. If you dwell on the negative parts of life all the time then how can you be happy? I have also been known to stop hanging around people that are always negative, no matter what they complain about everything.
