I think traffic jams really get into people whether commuter and even more so drivers. Listening to music while caught in a traffic lessens this and the possibility of a road rage.

Sometimes it irritates when you are caught for more than a reasonable time. Generally i switch my route if i come to know that there is traffic jam on a particular route. And i don't hear any music and all, because you will be in no mood to like it fully at that time.

No they don't.....I make sure I have enough soda...and I turn on the music really loud and sing to it and just enjoy the time alone.....why get upset?

it is always traffic here, and it is double traffic jam when it rains. lucky if you are going to a place where you can ride the train. trains can be crowded but atleast there is no traffic. well in a no out situation it is nice to travel with a friend so you have someone to talk to in the middle of traffic, of course music is one of the good way to cheer you up in a traffic

seeing how angry my mom gets over traffic jams has taught me to just chill out. Getting angry over it wont make it move any faster. More people need to start thinking that way there would be less accidents.

Worst times for traffic jams here is Monday to Friday morning rushhour, lunch hour as well as coming home. However on Fridays and specially with it being a long weekend the traffic is just horrible. Big campers and boats and trailers so it even takes longer when you have a pile of them lined up. I try to stay away from the roads on these prime time hours. Other than that it is smooth sailing.

I get this every time I use the M25 (London outer beltway, England). Music or not, I am compelled to take a detour. Sure, it takes longer but makes me feel better. Like in life, I'd rather make my own way than follow the crowd - you would never know how pretty the country is between parts of London and the motorway. Road rage? - Bah! Hampton Court anyone? I would never have gone there otherwise!
