Birthday Notification or something...

hello belated happy birthday to you my friend..^_^ you should have told us yesterday so that we could have greet you on your birthday. as for your question i think it would also be nice if we would have some notifications of our friends birthday so that we all can greet them on their special day so that they will feel that they are also important for us even though we have just met them online..

That is a good idea... but i guess if that will be an added feature here in mylot... it should be optional... since a lot would like to keep the date of their birth private... not all member post their real age here... so i don't think they want tell others their birth day...

Oh cool. Happy Belated Birthday. Yeah, I quickly picked up on that missing feature on Mylot. I think that should be something they add to give this happening site a boost. There is always room for updates. And just a shout out, my birthday is on the 31st of July people.

I would love it if people could chose to list their birthdays some where. It could be totally voluntary for those with privacy issues and it could even be limited to being visible to only those designated as friends. As an example, when I brought up my friends list, I would see the birthdays under the avatars. Or maybe we could get an 'alert' like myspace does when a friend has an upcoming birthday.

I'm not much for sending private messages, but I would have tracked down one of your discussions and then posted a Happy Birthday comment there. I wish that MyLot had a feature where we could send free ecards to each other's private message mail boxxes. Not every member shares their email address on MyLot with others. This would be a more discreet way to say Hello or Happy Birthday. I like your idea about the Birthday notifications. It would be nice.

agiham yes I do think it would be great if we had a feature here on mylot for noticing our mylotters birthdays. It would be such fun to recognize my friends birthdays too.

Oh my god, definitely yes! A birthday notification feature is one of the main purpose for me signing up for various different online stuffs like friendster, or facebook, just to keep them as a reminder to me that my good friends are having bday.

It would be easier to have/use a blank announcement that can be used to announce whatever you want to your friends at large. maybe its your birthday, maybe you're getting married or going to jail(may as well be the same thing), or perhaps you washed your socks and feel the need to spread the word. In the long run, why limit yourself to just birthdays when there are so many important dates and events in ones life.

I think that it would be a nice feature but I feel that many people would start discussions wishing so and so a birthday, and you would end up having five different discussions. Mylot advises against repetitive subjects already, so that would add a bit of conflict. I hope that you had a very happy birthday, and congratulations on a year older. Have a Great day.
