Parkour is a popular sport in the USA.People jump and roll his way across the rooftops.Parkour requires no sepcific accessory for its practice. The only necessary equipment is simply a T-shirt,a pair of light jogging trousers, and a pair of running shoes. However,it's a complete sport with all basic human moves such as running, jumping, climbing, rolling, and a really difficult discipline to train because it continually tests the limits of each traceur(parkour participant). I think the sport is very cool. But the safety is more important. What about you?

I started doing it with my friends that are gymnasts and martial artists (like me :D) Freerunning/Parkour is A LOT of fun. It can be pretty dangerous and challenging sometimes, but that just makes it even greater. It is also definitely NOT easy if you have never really ran a lot or worked out much... It keeps me pretty fit. I used to do it at my school before I graduated (we a lot of good areas... we even had a club and the teachers would watch) So yes, parkour is both cool AND dangerous :P but danger is just all part of the fun

Wow~~~I can't imagine one day I can know someone who does this! It's really cool!!When I see the actor in the film doing this,I almost hold my breathe. But in my country, few people do this.So...It's really really cool!!But pay attention to your safety.^_^

I've never seen it practised on the streets, but I've seen it "in action" in Movies ("Casino Royale") and in one of the BBC "Top Gear" Shows where 2 Traceurs(?) (-I didn't know before reading this post there was a name for the participants..my new word for today!) raced across Liverpool,(England!) against a new small Car..They Won! I think it could be classed as an extreme sport..safety should definitely be a priority for participants..

Maybe its dangerous which makes it cool. Its really interesting, and as you have already mentioned, the sport only requires the participant's capability to progress through a series of obstacles, often anywhere which can be considered a course, not necessarily those that are already set up but, anything around us, as quick and efficient as possible. There is also the discipline, which any sport has. It would really be convenient for anyone to be able to go through seemingly difficult obstablces, I'd recommend it to police officers that would be chasing criminals, hot pursuit, indeed.

Ive never heard of this "sport". But, it seems rather retarded to me. If someone tries it on my roof, he'd better be a real fast runner or he'll be one sore loser LOL
