I have received several calls and invitations to visit Bluegreen vacation resorts. They sound appealing but something tells me that if it sounds as good as they make it sound that maybe it is too good to be true. Does anyone here have a timeshare vacation point membership with Bluegreen? If so, are you happy with it?

My son and my daughter each own Bluegreen Points. Both have been able to use the points for short time exchange internally. I was able to exchange my points for fora week at another time share. I am a believer in Timeshares and have been an owner for many years. I have had some very nice exchanges and some that are not so nice, but every exchange was at lease as good as a mid priced motel and many were like nice apartment. If you are going to visit a Bluegreen resort talk to them about Bonus Time and Partial week exchanges. If the price seems too high, ask them about points that were traded in for a larger unit. They always have some that people have traded in and they are usually at a lower price. The most important advice I can give you is if you think you can't afford it say no and walk away. Most will not put the Hard Sell on you to buy. When you are considering the purchase figure the monthly payment and the Maintenance charge. If you can afford the payments and Maintenance fee and will use it, it can be a very good investment.

Thank you the information on time shares. I have an appointment scheduled to view the bluegreen properties near the end of August and will be keeping in mind the advise you have offered.
