Well my mother is scheduled for surgery on this coming Thursday, she has spots on her kidney and liver that they want to remove. My mother is bi- polar and also a cancer surviver to skin cancer which we think there might be more of. Anyone out there know anything about spots? I know they want to check them for cancer and remove as much as possible. But thats about all I know. What else could these be, and or what will happen after this? What am I looking forward to?

It may not be anything more but to check it out. I know that my daughter in law's dad just found a spot on a part of his body, He lost his bladder a year ago, to cancer. but according to my mom, chemo will usually clear it up if that is what they decided, I know with my step dad that is the decision at the moment. The liver, I am not sure of spots to much yes or no, however cirrhosis could be a thought. Good luck and God Bless. Kidneys, you said she is bi-polar, maybe the medicine is giving her a side effect. What has the doctor say when you ask him/her

keely I hope your mom gets well very quickly and that the spots are not life threatening. I will send my prayers heading to you and yours. I do not know what will happen except that they are probably testing for cancer. some spots turn out not to be cancerous. I have a tiny cyst on one kidney that is not cancerous nor does it bother me so the doctors all say let it be. they will tell you the results of the tests and then you can 'go from there.
