Oh Yeah, Metallica rocks hard!!! Well they did rock hard, now they play something closer to blues rock in my opinion...Anyway, I am still a great fan of early Metallica and my favorite songs are 1) Master of Puppets 2) Call of Kthulu 3) One 4) For whom the bell tolls 5) Welcome home

1)Master of Puppets- It must have taken them so long to even think of that song. they use so many key elements, chord progressions, meoldic progressions etc. 2)One- shows the softer side of Metallica and also shows the skills of Lars Ulrich and Kirk Hammet. 3)Fade To Black- Has that awsome intro solo and also an awesome outro solo too. This also includes James on the acoustic 4)Enter Sandman- This is one of their best songs because they fused rock and metal together. Probably their most known song too. 5)Ride the Lightning- This is a fantastic song with a change in tempo's. It is also written by Dave Mustaine too. One of their best solo's.

Wow, top five Metallica songs. This is gonna be hard. 1) The Call of Ktulu from Ride the Lightning. i heard this song before i read the Lovecraft story of the same name. 2) Master of Puppets from Master of Puppets. Classic Metallica, need not say more. 3) The Four Horsemen from Kill 'Em All. i still have this cassette. 4) Welcome Home (Sanitarium) from Master of Puppets. 5) Nothing Else Matters from Metallica. This song blew me away when i first heard it. Only five man. i could have listed Metallica's entire catalog save for St Anger.

Enter Sandman, Holier Than Thou, Sad But True, The Unforgiven, Nothing Else Matters. Those are five of my favorites from them.

I didn't see a single post including Until It Sleeps which upsets me because, and I mean this LITERALLY, Until It Sleeps is the song that got me into rock period. My step dad made me listen to it when i was a little girl, and before that I thought rock was bad...lol... This one song from Metallica changed my whole perspective on rock music. I love the song, love love love this song. lol...
