It depends whats going on the place your going to.I have heard alot of people work abroad to earn money but they failed. Some were convicted of crime which they didn't do.Some also did the crime because of certain reasons.Although there are some also that succeed in making money and provide comfortable life for their family because thats the main reason why one want to work abroad.

Going abroad does have its perks. The pay is good, of course, but it does depend also on what kind of work will you be doing in another country. If it's something you don't want then don't go for it. I've been working here in Malaysia for 6 months and it's been going good so far. I just have different types of people to deal with. But a guide to those who want to look for greener pastures outside of their country, make sure the work you're getting into is the field of your choice. The word successful is subjective in this case. How do you define successful? Having earned a lot of money? etc.

I think it depends on what country you are from and what the opportunities are in your field of interest. If you can't be successful in your field in your country, or if it would be very difficult for you, then working abroad would be a wise choice.
