Why don't men say what they think to women?

I have come to realize that during my marriage that although I thought my husband talked to me in reality he said what he thought would either keep me pacified or off balance so that I was busy with things that kept me from suspecting infidelity. Thoughts? http://www.oprah.com/omagazine/200807/omag_200807_men.jhtml

I wonder about that too. It makes me feel like they're too passive or anything. I guess that's just the way they are.

I don't think men think about what they are saying to women. I think they don't want to hurt us so they tell us what they think we want to hear even if it's not the truth, although that's everything we need to hear.

So that is why. This is enlightening, but, I haven't been in a relationship with a man so I am more question in mind than you do. Can they explain further?

Because they know then that vengence would be ours. If they said what they really thought they would feel guilty when we became violent or abused them. LOL! I am just kidding for some of you husbands. I know my husband knows my rage.
