Starting 'em Young (To use Computers)

Who believes that starting young kids to learn computers is good? There are a lot of pros and cons about it. Others say that it is not good to let them use computers especially if they only use it to play games as it might affect their eyes. Others say it is good that they learn the basics of computing since our everyday life is driven by this technology. I am for the latter. How about you, where do you stand?

hi even my 2 yr olds pediatrician told me the same... not to allow him to computers.. or watch television...
but when i sit to browse he occupies.. other desktop and he wants to start playing games in computer... though i was advised not to allow him.. for his first few years... i just leave him so that i will have some time of my own...
