I had a whirlwind marriage relationship. The moment I first met my wife briefly, I decided that she be my wife. I searched for her number to ask her for a dinner date the following day. On that dinner evening, I proposed marriage and she said yes to the proposal. And we've been married for 27 years now. We went through unpleasant relations during our first years. But we held on, and managed to stick to one another as great friends and partner. A lot of my friends do ask me the question: is a short term relation towards marriage better that a long term one leading to marriage. I dont know, I can only speak for my experience.

That is so sweet. My sister was barely 16 and my brother-in-law had just turned 17 when they married, that was 28 years ago, they too had some rough bumps, but they're together and I think they have actually meshed into one person lol. My sister had a very unhappy childhood and she is so blessed to have the life she has now.
