I like eating sandwiches and find it comfortable to carry it for my tiffin everyday where I can eat while working. But I do not know many varieties. Do you have any ideas for making sandwiches. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

Hmmmm who hate sandwchihes Well i wonder if u like hot sandeich or Cold one as both have differnt taste and receiipes. Hot sandwich cant be stored long, u have some thing spicy, made it enjoy it with tea or coffe Cold sandwich, nothing to worry, just try any thing and every thing, if u like it it will be future receipe i can be chicken, gish, potatoe, vegetables, cheese, myonesese, spread etc. boiled and sliced eggs are not bad So just try it, and enjoy Byee

Hi cupid, I do not get subways anywhere near my home or office so do not have a chance to try it. I will never go out of my way to buy something to eat. All my shopping is done near office or home.

Dah'ling for sandwiches you should keep some things handy. Like mayonaise, cheese spreads, strawberry speads, chili flakes, pepper flakes, boiled chicken, vegetables, bild eggs, spinach, celery...I guess that's enough. You can do your wn stuffs, try innovating new stuffs. It's fun actually. I remember once I had nothing and wanted to eat it sweet so applied a generous sprad of milkmaid on breads and devoured on it! It tasted so good! Another time I made sandwiches with cheese and potato chips. I remember eating lots of junkies that day! smiles...

Why are our choices so much similar. I too have had bread with milkmaid though not for many years now. That was when I was in the hostel and we did not have a fridge to store things into. I do keep all the above ingredients in stock at home and enjoy just sandwiches sometimes on a sunday.

See...no wonder we are friends! Hostel days must be fun days! I haven't had any opportunity to experience hostel life though. How are you today?

Yes hostel days are fun. It was not a college hostel but a working girls hostel. So the girls around behave more sophisticated and grown up. I had my share of fun there as I was just 18 when I joined. Was there for a whole 7 years. Am okay today. Not feeling as depressed as last week.

What is "tiffin"? I love cheese and vegemite sandwiches, chicken cheese and pineapple, or cheese and tomato. I also like toasted sandwiches, they are great as an easy meal!

The wonderful thing about sandwiches is that you can put any thing you want in them. Making sandwiches is an adventure in it's self. There are so many varieties of breads and wraps that you can use. So many combinations of vegetables and meats too. Have you thought about a carrot spread? Finely chopped carrots, creamed cheese, and any thing that you like to go with the carrots maybe raisins or finely chopped well drained pineapple. Heres a web site with a good number of sandwich ideas as well as brown bagging it. http://busycooks.about.com/od/sandwichspreads/a/sandwichspreads.htm

In the place where I live I do not get a variety of breads and wraps so I cannot get innovative. I will look into the website mentioned. Thanks and Happy Posting.

I love sandwiches too. Apart from the plain butter and jam variety, I make peanut butter sandwich, cucumber-tomato-omelette, chicken-cabbage-mayo, boiled potato-ham, boiled potato fried with tomatoes, chilli, onion, cheese slice-tomato sandwich are some of the fillings I particularly like.
