The good thing after typhoon here in the Philippines is that the price of the fish decreases to a huge amount. The Milkfish price was decrease from PHP 90.00 per kilo to PHP 15.00 per kilo as of yesterday. When we get home yesterday, I saw a lot of Milkfish in our refrigerator, my in-law bought two kilos for only PHP 15.00 per kilo.

My goodness, where was that that you bought only 15 per kilo? I love milkfish and I wish I could have bought a lot at that sale price! Yes, indeed in every calamity there is always an opportunity, or in every adversity a blessing comes along and for that we ought to thank the Lord. Happy Posting!

yeah. during typhoon, the lake or fish pond where these fish came from was overflow. and this is the reason why there are lots of fish here in our city and near city.

Really! How I wish I'm living in the same place. Our milkfish here remains 90 to 100 per kilo. But I love milkfish and will always buy no matter how expensive because the doctor say we must eat milkfish because it does good thing for the body.

Is it really true? Well my experience is the opposite but I haven't tried the milk fish yet. I do saw a lot of commodities especially the vegetables all going up because it has become rather rarer since many bridges or roads are blocked by the fallen trees and debris. I think its the cages that got destroyed by the typhoon that make the milkfish population bloomed anywhere that is why there is an oversupply of it. Eventually it will go back to its market price.

our place was near to fish pond and lake as well as the near city, so those fish pond overflow during typhoon that is why there are decreased in price.

Wow... that is almost like giving away the milkfish for free... but i am not really a huge milkfish fan... i prefer the Tilapia... i wonder if the price also decreased dramatically... but the prices of other commodities like vegetables and meat increased...

thats more cheaper than a day after the typhoon..hehehe we had bought the milk fish then for 30php/kilo and yesterday my grandparents had bought tilapia for only 20php/kilo. this fish has escaped from the fish cages around here in laguna de bay that is why it is much cheaper 'coz there are lots of fish that they have caught.

Wow. How did that happen? From that huge decrease of price. I love milkfish too. But I can't buy it with that price here. LMAO.
