My tomato saplings have arrived

I sowed the seeds at the onset of the monsoons, and I now have some really lovely tomato plants. And they are so cute. I really love them! Don't you think it is lovely when you get a plant out of a seed? Now, how do I take care of my tomato plants so that they give me lots and lots of tomatoes? I am afraid I know nothing much about taking care of tomato plants. So I will be very happy if you give me any tips. Cheers and happy mylotting

Plants from seed is an ongoing miracle. I love to watch them grow, too. Take care of your tomatoes like almost any other vegetable. Water when it's needed, keep weeds pulled away from them and, if you don't have really good soil, use a mild fertilizer on them every two to three weeks. Watch for bugs, slugs and tomato hornworms. They like sunshine but most of them won't set fruit if it's very hot (over 90 F). Good luck with them! Hope you get a lot of tomatoes.
