So I go to start dinner. I started it later than I should have, cause I didn't need to cook any meat, just re-heat some stuff. I decided to do it in the slow cooker for 3 hours on high. So I put everything in there and walk away for a bit. Went back 2 hours later and everything is still cold, including the cooker! I forgot that yesterday when I had to use my mixer, I had unplugged the cooker and forgot to plug it back in. oops! That was actually my 3rd time doing that this month. The first time it happened, I left it all day and came back expecting to smell the food throughout the house and wondered why I smelled nothing. I had to throw all the food away because it had sat for hours in the cooker that wasn't cooking. Have you ever done that?

I have forgotten to turn the oven on once. I think that is about it though. My sister has forgotten to turn the oven off a couple of times. I have to watch her with that. Sorry that you had to throw the food away. One time we had just went to the grocery store and like a day later our fridge or freezer (can't remember which one) brakes so we have to throw all of that food we had just bought away. We got it fixed though so everything is fine now. Starting dinner later than you should have, well my family is famous for that.. a lot of times my family doesn't end up eating dinner until around 8:00 or 8:30. That is way too late for me to eat, so a lot of times I will just fix me something quick and eat it for dinner rather than wait on them. I get up earlier then they all do and so I end up eating my meals before they do. They usually don't eat lunch until around 4-5. Well I usually like to eat dinner around 5-maybe 7 at the latest. But I have forgot to turn the oven on.

I've never done that with the slow cooker, but I did forget to turn the oven OFF one time. x_x
