Despite the confirmation that it is possible that the toxic chemical endosulfan spilled in the waters of Romblon fishes around Panay island and other parts of western Visayas are still safe to eat..the BFAR director made sure that the waters around the sunken ship is not contaminated by the pesticide and therefore the fishes and other sea products are safe to eat..despite the confirmation that it is not contaminated will you risk your self and family to eat fishes from that area? Is it really safe? this is really scary and for us to be really safe i think we still need to be cautious on those fishes from W. visayas..it is better to be cauitious than be sorry..what do you think guys?

I will not eat any sea foods by the mean time. We're not sure if this is safe. How can they be sure those fishes are not eating flesh. And can anyone prove this fact? It's good to be sure than to risk my life on it. I seldom eat sea foods. I think I will not eat those, I will eat some alternative foods that rich in iodine. There are vegetables with iodine, or I will take Iodized salts.

our fishes are still safe to eat..just be aware where those fishes came from..if it is from western visayas then do not buy it..buy sea foods from places that are far from visayas..

I visited Guimaras once and noticed that their beaches was such an untapped world class tourist destination. But I felt bad when the oil spill incident happened in that beautiful strait of Guimaras. Now, another toxic matter that our marine life has to endure. Fishes would be happy to eat human tissues hehe...but when the spillage of endosulfan have contaminated the water, it was a huge disaster and endangered the rest of the area surounding the sunken ship. Endosulfan kills! It's not safe to eat fish for now. How do we know if the fishes we are eating now are safe? I hope BFAR will further explain the extent of toxins the endosulfan made. Are we still gonna eat fish or let die of the trans-fat from the meat products? Are fishes staying in just one sea territory, aren't they travelling like humans? What if they're being caught and sold in the market in the Metro? Geeeeee that could be a huge danger!!!

I think I will have to restrained myself in eating fish for a moment until everything goes back to normal again. It's hard to rely and trust the BFAR findings right now, they must conduct a thorough analysis first and came out with a good report. Though the affected fishing areas are the Western Visayas only, it is still good to be cautious because we don't know where the fish that we could buy really comes from.

Well i think it will take some time to really recover from that before the consumers will begin to eat the fishes caught in that area.

Maybe if I were in that area, I will not eat my favorite fish first. I can't really trust the confirmation from BFAR as assurance of safety. It's better to be assured first so for the meantime I will stick to veggies and beef while observing if nobody is really dying from eating fish from there. I will let the brave others do the eating first (he!he!he!). After enough time has passed, and no one is dying then back to fish I go!!!
