What is the best thing to do to get my money back?

That is always a problem when you lend a money to someone whom you thought was trustworthy. It is difficult to really get it back unless you file it to a court and force her to pay the amount. But this will take time for you I am pretty sure she won't be put to jail because of these as the law also protects them from being imprisoned. So I guess the only option you have is to really ask her to pay you up.

You have two very powerful options at your disposal my friend-weigh out if the value of your mony matches thevalue of your friendship-if you think your friendship is less in value, I advise your call quits, demand for your money, if she cant pay take her to police and be really hard on her! If you think you need her firendship, then please call it a bad debt and move on with life as before-it is all upto you.

2 years ago...i hate to say it, but it is unlikely you will ever get your money back. not impossible, just improbable. thats the trouble with lending to friends and family..anybody for that matter. best rule of thumb..dont lend money to ANYBODY that you are not willing to never get back..in other words; if you cant spare that money and will not suffer hardship for not having it, then DONT LEND IT. sorry..its one of the life lessons i think we all have to learn on our own unfortunatly!
